Showing Middle finger

   I want to ask that Is showing the middle finger forbidden in Islam ,Is there any direct hadith or verse present about it ?  If indirectly it is a forbidden or is a sin then what will be the punishment for it ? if it is a sin then is it a big sin or small ,kindly explain ,Thanks

	Showing middle finger is a cultural thing, that originally from the western culture that propagate viat film, tv show, etc. It's relatively very new tradition compare the birth of Islam. Moreover even now in many places, still it doesn't meant anything. So in that sense you will not find ruling based on hadith or quran. However if the culture that you are living in consider it's bad or insulting, doing so is consider sin, because will heart or insult somebody.
