Assalamu Alaikum: I was reading an article today about young girls wearing hijab and it stated that in one Islamic school, I'm sorry I don't remember where, they held a hijab party for the fourth grade girls to celebrate all of them wearing hijab. I think that this is such a wonderful idea. I don't have children of my own, but wouldn't it be wonderful if we took time to do little things like this at home? A hijab party for your daughter and friends or a special Iftar party for your children the first day that they actually fast the entire day during Ramadan. How about a Quran recital party where small prizes could be given out? You could do this with just your own children or include their friends. I was wondering if any of you already have any traditions like these that you would like to share?
