abrah said: "Yes you are right that you cannot raise your voice in your church! The Bible view of women: Silence The Woman!"Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (I Timothy 2:11-14)" but i am a man - will i be able to raise my voice in church, to praise my God, preach the holy gospel, and honour the precious name of my Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ? 4:34 MEN SHALL take full care of women with the bounties which God has bestowed more abundantly on the former than on the latter, and with what they may spend out of their possessions. And the righteous women are the truly devout ones, who guard the intimacy which God has [ordained to be] guarded. And as for those women whose ill-will you have reason to fear, admonish them [first]; then leave them alone in bed; then beat them; and if thereupon they pay you heed, do not seek to harm them. Behold, God is indeed most high, great! 4:11 CONCERNING [the inheritance of] your children, God enjoins [this] upon you: The male shall have the equal of two females share; but if there are more than two females, they shall have two-thirds of what [their parents] leave behind; and if there is only one daughter, she shall have one-half thereof. And as for the parents [of the deceased], each of them shall have one-sixth of what he leaves behind, in the event of his having [left] a child; but if he has left no child and his parents are his [only] heirs, then his mother shall have one-third; and if he has brothers and sisters, then his mother shall have one-sixth after [the deduction of] any bequest he may have made, or any debt [he may have incurred]. As for your parents and your children - you know not which of them is more deserving of benefit from you: [therefore this] ordinance from God. Verily, God is all-knowing, wise. 4:12 And you shall inherit one-half of what your wives leave behind, provided they have left no child; but if they have left a child, then you shall have one-quarter of what they leave behind, after [the deduction of] any bequest they may have made, or any debt [they may have incurred]. And your widows shall have one-quarter of what you leave behind, provided you have left no child; but if you have left a child, then they shall have one-eighth of what you leave behind, after [the deduction of] any bequest you may have made, or any debt [you may have incurred]. And if a man or a woman has no heir in the direct line, but has a brother or a sister, then each of these two shall inherit one-sixth; but if there are more than two, then they shall share in one-third [of the inheritance], after [the deduction of] any bequest that may have been made, or any debt [that may have been incurred], neither of which having been intended to harm [the heirs]. [This is] an injunction from God: and God is all-knowing, forbearing.

I quote the biblical verse above for Angela not you...Are you illiterate? Yeah you as a man can raise your voice in church etc but at the same time the Bible denies the right of women raise their voice in church by saying that the women must learn in silence with all subjection....lol...The Bible does not respect the rights of women! You are so corrupt for saying that Jesus as the Saviour Jesus Christ....How can you claim wildly by saying such thing to me? Aren't you ashamed of yourself when God says that God is the only Savior (Isaiah 43:11) ? In Islam Allah is the All Mighty God so Allah is the only Savior because Jesus is a servant of Allah and he depends on His permission and help! Edited by AbRah2006 |

God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealers. (Quran, 60:8)

I still haven't seen a proper response to Fredi's questions. What will happen to us if there is the Grand Caliphate???? Fredi's and my comments were in reference to the above conditions..... I found a rather lengthy explaination of the 1 Timothy 2:11 scripture you quoted, but its 9 pages long. In essense, the women there were heckling their men folk during services and disrupting the proceedings with lewd comments. The admonisment was for these women alone, but since our previous discussion on historical commentary went over your head, I suppose this one would too.

"I would rather die than live in a place where I could not wear a cross about my neck and raise my voice in my church. I would rather die than live somewhere where I was denied basic rights and made second class." Are you talking about France? "there is however one point of interest in your useless post - why were they told to bow down to adam?" As opposed to...? Eve perhaps? Eve had not been created yet. When Eve was created there was no need for the angels to bow down because they already had been shown the superiority of humans. It was a given by that time. The Laws of inheritance are set out the way they are because in Islam, the men are supposed to be fully financially responsible for women. Not just their wives, but all female relatives. Therefore, they get a larger share since this share is usually spent on the family. Any part of an inheritance that a woman receives is hers alone and need not be shared with anyone. We have already gone over the beating issue on other threads. The Prophet said you should never hit anyone with anything larger than a miswak, the small twig, smaller than your pinky finger, used to clean your teeth. This would leave out any form of hitting with your hand of fist as they are both larger than a miswak. The beating is symbolic, and used only as a last result if your wife is guilty of lewd or inappropriate behavior. This does not mean because she burned the rice, but rather has done something Islamically insupportable. The Rightly Guided Caliph will rule as the Prophet Mohammed ruled. The Prophet was never unjust to anyone, Mulsim or non-Muslim, and the non-Muslims were free to practice their own beliefs as long as they did so within the social framework. No different than today, where you follow the laws of the land where you live. "We shall not teach the Koran to our children.will we be able to teach our children about the quran?" This is not Islamic. There must have been extenuating circumstances for this to be part of the treaty. Perhaps the Christians were teaching false Islamic doctrine or something, and so the teaching of Quran was restricted to Muslims being the only ones allowed to teach. The Prophet shared the revelations of the Quran with everyone, how else would anyone have accepted Islam? Dawah is part of our religion. Notice that there is no restriction about them learning Quran, just them teaching it. "will christians be able to preach openly in church buildings or in the street, and distribute leaflets inviting people to the holy faith of christ?" Where does that happen now? I haven't seen anyone preaching on a street corner in many years. "will i be able to bury my dead in the same cemetery as the muslims?" Muslims are encouraged to be buried with other Muslims because we believe we can hear the suffering of the grave. It is hope that Muslims will not be tormented as much. Why are some people not given Christian burials? Why are Muslims blocked from building mosques in most majority Christian nations? Why do most Christians deny Muslims worship God, even though we believe in the same Prophets and most of the same tenets? Why are Christian daughters only allowed to inherit if there is no son, and widows, sisters, mothers don't inherit at all: And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter. And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren. And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father's brethren. (Numbers 27:8-10) Why don't Christian women cover their hair:But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the husband is the head of his wife, and God is the head of Christ. Any man who prays or prophesies with something on his head disgraces his head, but any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled disgraces her head--it is one and the same thing as having her head shaved. For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or to be shaved, she should wear a veil. For a man ought not to have his head veiled, since he is the image and reflection of God; but woman is the reflection of man. Indeed, man was not made from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for the sake of woman, but woman for the sake of man. For this reason a woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. (NRSV, 1 Corinthians 11:3-10) Why aren't Christian women allowed to talk in church:As in all the churches of the saints, women should be silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as the law also says. If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church. (NRSV, 1 Corinthians 14:33-35) Why are Christian women told to be in subjection to their husbands, even if the husband is a non-believer: Likewise, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; (1 Peter 3:1)
