I did not mean that you cut and paste. I was saying that God is not a paste of three. I submit a mature response only to mature and sensible posts. This time, your post was not mature enough. BMZ

============================== I cannot comprehend "three-one" That is like saying "square circles" ================================ I cannot comprehend three-oneness that well either. Let me ask you this. Have you ever thought about time travel? There was a book written by H.G. Wells called "The Time Machine". Well's idea was to write a novel about a man who had a machine which allowed him to visit the past and the future of the world. Wells' idea caused a lot of other stories to be written about people traveling through time. Now one time I got to thinking about this in relation to God. And this is what I imagined: If a person could travel from the present into the future he might meet himself there in the future. Then it would be like there are two of him. He came from the past and arrived at the future and found himself there. Now I don't believe that such is possible. But it helped me to understand perhaps how God is in a realm outside of time. He penetrates into time and arrives in our world, and just maybe He "meets Himself" in our world. This little illustration is likely to cause problems. And I don't insist on it. But I think we have to realize that God is in a realm of reality outside of all that we know. He does however have the freedom to penetrate into our world and our time sense. When He does it seems that His dimensions do not make sense to all that we are use to. But the fact remains whether we can comprehend or not that the Bible declares that the Father is God, and the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. So those of us who trust the Bible must simply believe what it says. To us we cannot discern any difference. We know that God has come to make an abode within us as He promised to His lovers of Christ in John 14:23. And He waits to impart Himself into many more who will believe into Christ.

That is okay, Jocko. You are a good person. Honestly speaking you did not really offend me. My apologies too, if you felt I was harsh. BMZ |

Not bad. I like it! Do we not have apparent paradoxes in God's creation? How about the wave-particle duality in physics, or the dual states in quantum mechanics described by Schrodinger's cat? (In fact, in 2000 some macro objects were placed in a dual state.) The deeper we delve into God's creation, both on the quantum scale and the astronomical scale, the more we realize we don't understand. The so-called laws of classical physics fail in both directions. Surely God is more incomprehensible and more wonderful than anything He created! Edited by JasperStone |
