Oopss just deleted my entry, anyway it was basically my overview on how difficult it can be to practice islam in a none islamic conmmunity and the problems we face and how I learned the basics of islam and now I'm intreged with all aspects of it and I want to learn as much as I can.  How people look down at you when you ask them questions because you were never told/taught, they expect you to know everything.

I'de also like other peoples comments on how we can improve religious education in a none islamic envirment and how it can be made easier for others.  Thanks

As'Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,

Choorian, your question is very intresting and bit tough to answer too. I were living in a non-muslim area but alhamdullilah, now shifted to a muslim populated place. I can understand how uneasy and sometimes tough it is. We hold a great resonsibility because u are n't Choorian to them but a muslim first. So we need to be very mindful of our acts. At the same carry "a weapon of patience". Be soft.

How can we be improve religious education - If you love reading, then u beautify your world. We have got various good sites to learn about Islam. Then try to implement them in our lives. Try to spent most of the time with the muslims be it two or three. Be united and try to discuss over religious issues.

How can it be made easier - Simple, follow it. Don't be rigid with the values at first.

I hope our other members too shall comment here.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

Thanks for the responce seekshidayath,  my main concern and issue is that I can ask three 'religious' people the same question and get three different answers, who do you beleive?

I do look up alot of things on the net but again, one question and many different answers, it's very confusing.

Choorian, you can try asking your problems/ questions here on this forum. May be you will get better results. Just try it, in the correct section. But first participate in an ongoing discussion. Do not start your own thread unless very necessary.  mm
