Bismillah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem
In his Sahih, Muslim recorded that Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah said:
Hasten to do good deeds before six things appear: the rising of the sun from the west; the smoke; the Dajjal; the beast; the (death) of one of your favorite, or general affliction

As Salamu Alaikum
Brother {Abo Sait} you asked Isnaad of a hadith. It seems that we need to go thru original books of it. That is the arabic version of hadiths and there we shall get the isnaad. We don't find isnaads in translated ones
The Prophet (peace be upon him)said:"No fatigue, illness, anxiety, sorrow, harm or sadness afflicts any Muslim, even to the extent of a thorn pricking him, without Allah wiping out his sins by it." [Sahh al-Bukhr and Sahh Muslim] Edited by seekshidayath - 12 January 2009 at 6:32pm |

Seeks, or anyone else: What did the Prophet mean by 'the death of one of your favourite' ? I think the Smoke and General Affliction signs have already been fulfilled !!! :-/ |

I need a really good and inspiring hadith for a little local forum I am on. Something beautiful about Allah. I've already use little sayings from Islam and had people comment on how good it was, how they had not known that's what Muslims believed etc. I think we should all do that for Allah/God, and each other.
Any offers ? |

Sahih Bukhari(RA)--Book 87-- Hadith 136 Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri(RAA): Allah's Apostle(SAWS) said, "While I was sleeping, some people were displayed before me (in a dream). They were wearing shirts, some of which were merely covering their breasts, and some a bit longer. Then there passed before me, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab(RAA) wearing a shirt he was dragging it (on the ground behind him.)" They (the people) asked, "What have you interpreted (about the dream) O Allah's Apostle?" He said, "The Religion." |

Gulliver : I dont know which hadith you may find 'inspiring' - since inspiration comes differently to all of us, but I could share some ahadith with you, that I particularly like a lot . . . perhaps they may also appeal to you the same way. Btw, these are Hadith Qudsi, i.e. we believe these are the exact words of Allah, in His own Narrative.
When Allah decreed the Creation He pledged Himself by writing in His book which is laid down with Him: "My mercy prevails over my wrath. " - narrated by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah).
I am as My servant expects Me to be. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed. - narrated by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, at-Tirmidhi and Ibn-Majah).
"O My servants, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. . . . . " - related by Muslim (also by at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah).
"Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him. " - related by al-Bukhari.
Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection:
Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: "Where are those who love one another through My glory? Today I shall give them shade in My shade, it being a day when there is no shade but My shade. " related by al-Bukhari (also by Malik). "O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it. " - related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal)......subhanallah!
Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Our Lord (glorified and exalted be He) descends each night to the earth's sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: "Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him?" -related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud).

Narrated 'Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila(RAA): Sahl bin Hunaif(RAA) and Qais bin Sad(RAA) were sitting in the city of Al-Qadisiya. A funeral processionfuneral procession was of one of the inhabitants of the land i.e. of a non-believer, under the protection of Muslims. They said, "A funeral procession
passed in front of the Prophet(SAWS) and he stood up. When he was told that
it was the coffin of a Jew, he said, "Is it not a living being (soul)?" (Sahih Bukhari--Book #23, Hadith #399)

As Salamu Alaikum
Narrated 'Ali: While we were in a funeral procession in Baqi Al-Gharqad, Allah's Apostle came and sat down, and we sat around him. He had a small stick in his hand and he bent his head and started scraping the ground with it. He then said, "There is none among you, and no created soul but has his place written for him either in Paradise or in the Hell-Fire, and also has his happy or miserable fate (in the Hereafter) written for him." A man said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we depend upon what is written for us and give up doing (good) deeds? For whoever among us is destined to be fortunate (in the Hereafter), will join the fortunate peoples and whoever among us is destined to be miserable will do such deeds as are characteristic of the people who are destined to misery." The Prophet said, "Those who are destined to be happy (in the Hereafter) will find it easy and pleasant to do the deeds characteristic of those destined to happiness, while those who are to be among the miserable (in the Hereafter), will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of those destined to misery." Then he recited: 'As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and believes in the Best reward from Allah, We will make smooth for him the path of ease. But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self sufficient, and gives the lie to the Best reward from Allah we will make smooth for him the path for evil.' (92.5-10) (Book -60, Hadith #473) - Al-Bukhari
