Next set of questions

1. What are the challenges thrown by the Holy Qur'an to its disbelievers in its divine status?

2.Who was the angel thru whom Allah ta'ala conveyed the revelations to our Prophet?

3.Name the four caliphs appointed by our Prophet saws?

This time try to answer them. Don't worry if your guesses are wrong.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

As Salamu alaikum

Sori brother, I only get a chance to read two or three thread every time I come on.

anyway I did not know the answer for the first question.

Jazakallahu Khairan for your efforts.

1. What are the challenges thrown by the Holy Qur'an to its disbelievers in its divine status?

To produce a Surah or even an Ayah like it.

2.Who was the angel thru whom Allah ta'ala conveyed the revelations to our Prophet?

Jibril (alayhi Salam)

3.Name the four caliphs appointed by our Prophet saws?

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) did not appoint any Caliphs, there are some Hadith to indicate his preferences but he did not appoint anyone. The four righteous Caliph after him (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) were Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali (Radhi Allahu Anhum)

May Allah bless us with useful knowledge. Ameen

Verily your Lord is quick in punishment; yet He is indeed Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful (Surah Al-Anam 6:165)
"Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him is our return" (Surah Baqarah 2: 155)

Yes, i was wondering where were u all. Atlast i found both u and Rookaiya discussing seriosly there.

Actually am now planning to make a contract with both of u so that none of u leaves this thread . Your participation indeed will be rewarded by Allah SWT.

1. What are the challenges thrown by the Holy Qur'an to its disbelievers in its divine status?
10:38. Or do they say: "He has forged it'' Say: "Bring then a Surah like unto it, and call upon whomsoever you can besides Allah, if you are truthful!''

11:13. Or they say, "He forged it.'' Say: "Bring you then ten forged Surahs like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allah, if you speak the truth!''

17:88. Say: "If mankind and the Jinn were together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another.''

52:34. Let them then produce a recitation like unto it if they are truthful.

These challenges stand still today and will till -The Hour, It challenges that no one can even produce a single verse like that of qur'an.

2.Who was the angel thru whom Allah ta'ala conveyed the revelations to our Prophet?

Its Jibraeel AS. Just one verse right now can be quoted which supports it : (192. And truly, this is a revelation from
the Lord of all that exists,) (193. Which the trustworthy Ruh (Jibril) has brought down.

3.Name the four caliphs appointed by our Prophet saws?

Yes, as u said Alwardah, i confirmed it and u are right.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

3. Which was the last battle participated by Prophet  SAWS?

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

As Salamu alaikum

It will not  be fun if you are asking the questions and I am replying all the time.

Anyway I will not answer and before you make clever jokes, I have to tell you I don't know the answer to the 3rd question.

I will give it a day or so for someone else to answer before I reply - actually cheating - gives me a chance to find the 3rd answer.

Keep up the good work

Salams

Its not cheating sis Alwrdah, as its permitted to search the answers and share here

1.To which of the sahabas {companions of Prophet}, was the third daughter of our Prophet  Umm Kulthum RA was married to?

Umm Kulthum RA was married to Osman Ghani RA. After the death of  Rookaiya RA, Osman Ghani was appraoched by Umar RA, whose daughter  Hafsa RA was now a widow. But Osman Ghani did not reply him as Abu Bakr RA. Umar Ra  was bit disappointed as he recieved no such positive reply from the. Prophet saws told him that Hafsa shall get better person than Osman Ghani RA and Osman Ghani RA would get a better person than Hafsa. Initially Hafsa RA was married to our Prophet SAWS and Osman Ghani was married to Umm Kulthum RA.

2. What does Qur'an say of Qaroon?

Verse 76.of surah Qasas says "Verily, Qarun was of Musa's people, but he behaved arrogantly towards them. And We gave him of the treasures, that of which the keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men. Remember when his people said to him: "Do not exult. Verily, Allah likes not those who exult.''

(78. He said: "This has been given to me only because of the knowledge I possess.'' Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him generations, men who were stronger than him in might
and greater in the amount they had collected But the criminals will not be questioned of their sins

79. So, he went forth before his people in his finery. Those who were desirous of the life of the world, said: "Ah, would that we had the
like of what Qarun has been given! Verily, he is the owner of a great fortune.'

80. But those who had been given knowledge said: "Woe to you! The reward of Allah is better for those who believe and do righteous deeds, and this none shall attain except the patient.''
These are the verses which deal with Qarun in chapter qasas.  What we need to learn out of this is we shud n't exult of anything we
possess. We shudn't feel envious of those wealthy, as its all temporary. The real wealth is that which we possess in the world hereafter and its FOREVER. And the third is we shud be with patience and do righteous deeds apart from believing in Allah inorder to  get a better reward.

3. Which was the last battle participated by Prophet  SAWS?

Its Battle of Tabook. Alwardah's comment for the this answer confused me to comfirm again. And its battle of Tabook which lasted in 9th  year of Hijrah. Though there was no war as the opponents did not turn up and few fled away. But it was a severe test for the believers. Its discussed in the tafseer of surah Taubah.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

As Salamu Alaikum Brother

I know it is not cheating. Alhmadulillah! So far I have answered from general knowledge. Alhamdulillah.

I pray the other members will participate.

Anwers for today:

1.. The first meeting place in Islam -

House of Arqam

2  First Whole family to embrace islam -

The Prophet's (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) Family or maybe you mean Yasir and his parents.

3.The first Believer who became a Martyr -

That was either Yasir's mother or father. Some say the mother and some the father.

4. First child to embrace islam-

Ali ibn Talib (Radhi Allahu Anhu)

5. First person to by-heart {Hifz} Qur'an

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) if you mean besides the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) then I have no idea.

Seems like we will need to keep this thread going

Verily your Lord is quick in punishment; yet He is indeed Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful (Surah Al-Anam 6:165)
"Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him is our return" (Surah Baqarah 2: 155)
