As'salamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

2  First Whole family to embrace islam

Yes, its Yasir's Family.). The Yasirs were the first "whole family" to accept Islam (outside the family of the Prophet himself). Yasir; his wife, Sumayya; and their son, Ammar; all three accepted Islam as soon as they heard the Call of the Messenger of God. Some people have claimed that it was Abu Bakr who was the head of the ffirst "whole family" which accepted Islam. This claim lacks evidence. Abu Bakr's son, Abdur Rahman, was an idolater, and he fought against the Apostle of God in the battle of Badr. Abu Bakr's father, Abu Qahafa, was also an idolater who became a Muslim only after the conquest of Makkah in 630.

3.The first Believer who became a Martyr -

U were n't exact but near.). Sumayya, the wife of Yasir, was the first Believer who became a Martyr in Islam. Her husband, Yasir, was the second Martyr in faith. Both of them were tortured to death by the pagans. Their son, Ammar, was also destined to win the crown of Martyrdom though he did so in the battle of Siffin in 657.They became, in this manner, a family of all Martyrs in Islam a distinction which no one else has ever shared with them. God Himself picked them out for this great honor.

My main intention to start up this thread was to revive the basics of ours. U just catch a kid and ask him about anyof the cricket ot football player or any bollywood or hollywood actors & pop singer he would five there whole history, there current performances , i mean he has all the knowledge of the wasteless talks but when we ask him to  name atleat 5  of the companions or family of our Prophet saws, he would stay dumb. This knwoledge is necessary for us to know as how islam was raised up with so much of pains. We need to realise that pain and and thus, add up to our faith. Lets not see the number of participants, since they must not be knowing those answers so aren't answering. As i see the number of readers increasing, so i think we shud continue it.  But yes, if the readers let us feel there presence thru there posts and comments, we would get our spirits boosted. Anyways lets move on positively as we intend to try here for the sake of Allah swt

As Salamu Alaikum brother

Jazakallahu Khairan for the correction. I thought Yasir was the son and Ammar the father. Now Insha Allah I will not forget this

I totally agree with you, we have more general knowledge about other things than simple facts about Islam. You know brother before Allah brought me back to His Siratul-Mustaqeem, I had very little knowledge about Islam as well. Alhmadulillah thru His Grace and Mercy and Guidance I am learning more every day.

I think by including choices others will be encouraged to give the quiz a try.

I will come back on Saturdayto answer if no one has done so yet, so please don't post the answers yet.

I  do know all the answers this time. Alhamdulillah.

Keep up the good word

Insha Allah your reward will be with Allah Ameen

You are right this time. Of COURSE  u shud be as you had taken lots of days to answer . Jazakallah for your intrest. HERE's the discussion of those answers

1. "O You who believe ! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him and  speak {always} the truth" This is the verse of Surah Ahzab.
What is its number of verse
  a} 65       b} 70     c} 75

Its verse 70 - and here's its commentary.
Here Allah commands His servants to have Taqwa of Him, worshipping Him as if they can see Him, and to speak (always) the truth.- {to speak in a straightforward manner, with no crookedness or distortion. He promises them that if they do that, He will reward them by making their deeds righteous, i.e., enabling them to do righteous deeds, and He will forgive them their past sins. With regard to whatever sins they may commit in the future, He will inspire them to repent from them. Then He says:(And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed achieved a great victory.) means he will be saved from the fire of Hell and will enjoy everlasting delights (in Paradise).

2.Which of the companions of our Prophet SAWS, suggested to dig a trench around Medina, during the Battle of Khandaq {Trench}
a} Abu Bakr RA  b}  Umar RA c} Salman Farsi RA.

The Messenger of Allah used to ask his Companions for advice about various matters, to comfort their hearts, and so they actively implement the decision they reach. For instance, before the battle of Badr, the Prophet asked his Companions for if Muslims should intercept the caravan (led by Abu Sufyan). They said, "O Messenger of Allah! If you wish to cross the sea, we would follow you in it, and if you march forth to Barkul-Ghimad we would march with you. We would never say what the Children of Israel said to Musa, `So go, you and your Lord, and fight you two, we are sitting right here.' Rather, we say march forth and we shall march forth with you; and before you, and to your right and left shall we fight.'' The Prophet also asked them for their opinion about where they should set up camp at Badr.
Al-Mundhir bin `Amr suggested to camp close to the enemy, for he wished to acquire martyrdom.
Concerning the battle of Uhud, the Messenger asked the Companions if they should fortify themselves in Al-Madinah or go out to meet the enemy, and the majority of them requested that they go out to meet the enemy, and he did. He also took their advice on the day of Khandaq (the Trench) about conducting a peace treaty with some of the tribes of Al-Ahzab (the Confederates), in return for giving them one-third of the fruits of Al-Madinah. However, Sa`d bin `Ubadah and Sa`d bin Mu`adh rejected this offer and the Prophet went ahead with their advice. The Prophet also asked them if they should attack the idolators on the Day of Hudaybiyyah, and Abu Bakr disagreed,
saying, "We did not come here to fight anyone. Rather, we came to perform `Umrah.'' The Prophet agreed. On the day of Ifk, (i.e. the false accusation), the Messenger of Allah said to them, "O Muslims! Give me your advice about some men who falsely accused my wife (`A'ishah). By Allah! I never knew of any evil to come from my wife.
And they accused whom They accused he from whom I only knew righteous conduct, by Allah!'' The Prophet asked `Ali and Usamah about divorcing `A'ishah. In summary, the Prophet used to take his Companions' advice for battles and other important events.
Ibn Majah recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Prophet said;(The one whom advice is sought from is to be entrusted) tThis was recorded by Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi, and An-Nasa'i who graded it Hasan. So hope we have a lots and lots to be learnt here. Lets learn to seek advice and suggestions from the entrusted ones -

3.Who was the first muslim to be killed on foreign soil

a} Obaidah ibn al-Harith ibn Abdul-Muttalib  b} Zayd ibn Harith    c} Hamza RA.
Zayd ibn Haritha was the first Muslim to be killed on foreign soil. In September 629, the Apostle sent him as the general of the army which was to engage the Romans in Syria. The two armies met in the battle of Mootah, and Zayd was killed in it.  Obaidah ibn al-Harith ibn Abdul-Muttalib, was the first Muslim to be killed in battle. He was a cousin of Muhammad and Ali, and he was the first Martyr of the battle of Badr. And Hamza RA in Battle of Uhud.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

Before i answer the above asked questions, I have to appreciate the attempt of Br. Seekshidayth to find out an excellent way for conveying the basic knowledge of islam to others (like me) and also i have to appreciate sister alwardah who is playing a vital role to keep active this thread by her responses / answers.

My answer is red hihglighted

Which of the Prophets was swallowed by a fish. Qura'an says "Had he not been of him who glorify Allah,he would have indeed remained
inside its belly {the fish} till the Day of Resurrection

a} Yaqub AS  b] Yusuf AS  c} Yunus AS

Which  chapter deals with change of "qiblah" {Direction of prayer}

a} Al-Baqarah    b] Al-Imran c} An-Nisaa

This commandment was revealed on Hazart Mohammad (SAW) in surrah Baqrah verse 144 during their pray Translation " Verily! we have seen the turning of your (Mohammad SAW) face towards the heaven. Surely we shall turn ur face in the direction of Al-Masji-al-Haram (at Makkah) and wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction. Certainly, the people were given the scriptures (i.e. Chirtian and Jews) know well that is the truth from their lord and Allah is not unaware of what they do"

The story of Adam AS and Satan is discussed in the Qura'an -

a} 10 times   b} 7 times   c} 9 times.

I am sure that in the Holy Qurain speks about this incident was seven times  but possibly i missed one or two thats why keep guess on 9 times
