Seekshidayah agressively said. Who is a teacher here ? We don't hold any student-teacher relation. We
being in the folds of brotherhood of Islam share and learn whatever we
know. You cannot demand respect and honour ? Did any one of us invite
you saying that you are knowledgeable and correct us ? I did tell you
to kindly mind your words before posting them !
Response: What of father and son relationship? Take it easy! Let us assure the West that we are tolerant, overbearing. I do not know in reality how you are taught Islam in your Madras. When I watch the Madras in Satellite TV, it reminds me of the Wailing wall in Jerusalem, the Jews holding their Taurat reading it bending their necks forward and backwards. Islamic teaching need references, reflection and a teacher specialised in that branch of study. Most of us just read without going to commentaries on that particular subject matter. For your sake just read the commentary of Bukhari on Fitnat volume 13 pages 1-124. The simplest sign of the hour for me is : "When two Muslim confront each other with swords". This started around 60 AH about 1370 years ago. Think twice please! Friendship.

Friendship : Jazakallah Khair for your contributions, this is offtopic - however as your sister in Islam, perhaps I should point out that you are coming across as high n mighty, and a bit know-it-all, also a tad disrespectful to my fellow members. However, you are welcome to post ur version of answers since its a public thread.
Answer to the Question:
The population of Madinah consisted notably of a large community of Jews, as well as idolators/polythiests. The Jews however had the upper hand, and were respected by the idolators - but it was the idolators who first embraced Islam, and invited Prophet Muhammad to Madinah.

Response: Thank you very much sister Chrysalis. The members do not realise that Islamic education especially the life of Muhammad Rasulullah is not like learning for example the history of any one in the world, or learning the natural sciences. The rule in Islamic education is that one is looking for what he does not know and elucidation is the keystone to understanding Islam. Let me give example to your answer. Probably you are a teacher by profession, or you want to economize your words. It is correct but one should elaborate and tell the various number of Jewish clans about 16 of them, one should also tell their locations and how many kilometers they were from the holy prophets mosque. The total number of Jews in Madina was about 1,300; 700 were the Banu Qurayza: 35 of them accepted Islam. The total number of Aws and Khazraj Arab tribes was about 700 and were the idolators worshipping I think na'ila god. Now you might have read a different account of their number. Then you should tell what you know to the memebers. You might have known this but have forgotten. Correctly the Aws and Khazraj were the first to embrace Islam. I think six of them around the 11th year and 12 of them comprising of 9 from Khazraj and 3 from Aws tribes in the 12th year after beginning of revelation. Secondly, I do not think this forum should be discussing on those issues that cannot be understood yet, but we have to believe in them as Muslims, while those interested in accepting Islam will be demolarized. But if an attempt is made to explain to them scientifically they may feel more convinced and inclined to help in propagating Islam. Let us be realistic, how can one say that the sun will rise from the West and set on the Eastern horizon? Any clue? The holy prophet said, "One should always state what the mind can comprehend and the intellect perceive so as not to ridicule him and his teaching, or make one run away from Islam". But if one says that it means distorting the basic teaching of Muhammad, it is much easier and acceptable to the mind and intellect. If the former was symbolic, the latter is real and does not negate the rising of the sun from West and setting on the eastern horizon! I learnt that the Sahabas were very stern and never allowed the least that will tarnish the image of Muhammad Rasulullah. If all the forum members are Muslims, I will not be contributing. Thus why I said, for us it is better we discuss on the Sunna. Friendship.

Salaam alaikum sis ,
Long time not seen you here. Yeah, you're right - 'Silence is golden' at times. Perhaps Seeks' taking that a little too serious - got to ask questions. I'm waiting for the next one.

As Salamu Alaikum,
That was correct answer, sis Chrysallis. JazakiAllahu khayr
Next Question
He came to the army and whispered to them, " You will not be defeated today. Am your neighbour {I.e i will help you in your affairs} , and i will fight alongside you". But he soon fled away. People asked him, "Are you forsaking us?"
Who was he ? Why did he fled away ?

Wa alaikum salaam,
I think "he" was shaitan who decieved the Makkan mushriks prior to battle of Badr.
And when Satan made their deeds seem fair to them and said : No one of mankind can conquer you this day, for I am your protector. But when the armies came in sight of one another, he took flight, saying : Lo! I am guiltless of you. Lo! I see that which ye see not. Lo! I fear Allah. And Allah is severe in punishment. (8:48)
