As Salamu Alaikum
After many & many days, brother Saladin answered, and he is right
And after many and many days sis Chrysallis is wrong
Yes, its Iblis but he was addressing Mushrikeens of Makkah, during battle of Badr. The ayah shared by brother saladin above, discusses it. Shaytan appeared to them in the shape of Suraqah bin Malik bin Ju`shum, the chief of Bani Mudlij,Shaytan said to idolators, `None will defeat you this day, and I will help you.' When the two armies stood face to face, the Messenger of Allah took a handful of sand and threw it at the faces of the idolators, causing them to retreat. Jibril, peace be upon him, came towards Shaytan, but when Shaytan, while holding the hand of a Mushrik man, saw him, he withdrew his hand and ran away with his soldiers. That man asked him, `O Suraqah! You claimed that you are our neighbor' He said ; "Verily, I see what you see not. Verily, I fear Allah for Allah is severe in punishment". Shaytan said this when he saw the angels.''

As Salamu Alaikum
Jazakallahu Khairan Seeks for your previous answer regarding Ibrahim (Alayhi Salam). Masha Allah I learn something new every day.
Prophet Muhammad {sallal lahu alaihi wasallam } said, horses are kept for one of three purposes; for some people they are a source of reward.
Why are they a source of reward ? |
If they are kept for Allahs cause (prepares it for holy battles) and ties it by a long rope in a pasture (or a garden). He will get a reward equal to what its long rope allows it to eat in the pasture or the garden, and if that horse breaks its rope and crosses one or two hills, then all its footsteps and its dung will be counted as good deeds for its owner; and if it passes by a river and drinks from it, then that will also be regarded as a good deed for its owner even if he has had no intention of watering it then.
This is part of the Hadith in Al-Bukhari
Wa Alaikum Salam

Jazakallahu sis.Alwardah.I've never read the above answer anywhere&it was indeed a very new&useful knowledge for me...plus,it makes me think of owing a Horse (or more) some day if Allah wills.....!!!!
Ok,I am not jumping for this one cos I have another question generated from that quiz.."Greeted him after he became a Prophet,at what event or incident or when he was born...Am sorry if I sound unserious, but am honestly not clear'bout the period the greeting took place...!!!!
