If Jesus died for the sins of man 2000 years ago, why is there still sin?

We have free will, it is the poor choices we make

What you ask is the same as me asking- Since Mohammad gave us the Quran as a guide why are there still sinners?

honeto you will never understand if you think so literally!!

jesus is saying- if something is leading you into temptation and sin then you must avoid it.

YES and GOD has given us mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ!!

Your good works and mine will never be enough.
John 3
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The Prophet Mohammed never claimed that he was dying to erase the sins of man.
Apparently they weren't erased.

What about the Prophets and Messengers before Jesus? If Jesus is the only way to salvation...

believer,
you may pick and choose what to take as literally or not, but the verse I am refering to is certainly not talking about temptation rather directly about what to do if you committ a sin.
Only because it contradict the theory of paying for the sins through the blood sacrifice of Jesus, you are willing to look into its hidden meanings rather than the clearly written words.  According to those words by the way, Jesus paid not just for "our" sins but for the sins of the world (no exclusions mentioned).
So, according to the Bible, that blood sacrifice has paid for all.
If that's the case, hypothetically, what are we doing here for the past 2000 years.
Hasan

Yes honeto if you would study the Holy Bible you too would be able to understand what is to be taken literally.

shasta - You have to believe that Jesus was crucified and died for your sins.  You have to claim that salvation.

Saladin - When is judgement day?  Where are people that have died before us following Mohammad, Moses, Noah have they been judged?
John 3

I have studied it enough, and have shown most of my points with proofs to you in this forum over time.
And I will say it again, I had more respect for the book when I had not touched it, more I know it, more I know its true nature. No wonder common people were not allowed to own Bibles not too long ago, only priests were to read it to them.

I would like to explain my understanding on your quetions to Saladin.
My understanding that time and measure of time is for us, for this life.
A person who died ten thousand years ago, one dying today, one dying ten thousand years from now, all will open eyes in the next world same time, because, once we die it can be one second or ten thousand years, it will feel the same, a short time, a blink of an eye when we all open eyes in the next life.
I may be wrong, and brothers/sisters can correct me on that, but that's my understanding of where are those who are dead. They are in a time freeze, for us. For themselves they are already in the next life.
Hasan
