But obviously you do give credence to the dream of Jesus PBUH in which he saw himself as the Alpha and the Omega. |

Greetings The Saint, So you are saying that you view the prophetic revelation of John as a dream? I guess I could understand that, prophesies are revealed through dreams... but Muhammad's dream was more than that wasn't it? It is said that he actually believed he rode to Jerusalem, didn't he? asalaam, CH Edited by Caringheart - 12 November 2014 at 9:01pm |

No, not always. We have seen pictures of doves descending upon Jesus PBUH and disciples apparently signifying revelation coming down. Muhammad PBUH received revelations in a clear and conscious state. Isra and Meraj that you are referring to are by no stretch of imagination in a dream. The miracle of Miraj (Heavenly Ascension) has been narrated in these verses of the Holy Quran. "Then he drew near, then he came closer. Till he was (at a distance of) two bows length or even nearer (qaba qawsayni aw adna) Now He revealed to His bondman whatever He revealed. The heart (of the Prophet) lied not in what he saw. Will you then dispute with him concerning what he saw? And indeed he saw him in another descent. By the lote-tree of the utmost boundary (over the seventh heaven). Near to which is the Paradise of Abode. (Jannatul Mawa) When that which covers did cover the lote-tree. The sight (of the Prophet) turned not aside nor exceeded the limit. Certainly, he (the Prophet) saw of the greatest Signs of his Lord. (53:8-18)" As you can read the Prophet PBUH was not asleep. He saw signs of God. In fact, God Almighty revealed of Himself to His servant, Prophet Muhammad PBUH. A privilege no man ever received. |
