Theory of fallen angels is not accepted in Muslim theology. He did not start of as an angel. When we contribute answers on matters of Islaamic teachings, especially Qur'aan, it is of utter importance to have proper reference. Dear brothers and sisters, especially Muslims, if you are not sure in exact position of the Qur'an or ahadith and their texts - double check, if you are not able to - leave your answer till you are confident.

Behold! We said to the angels, "Prostrate To Adam": they prostrated Except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns and he broke the Command of his Lord will you then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers! [al-Kahf:50]

To Bharatiya/ Kumar, since you are still at the 'doorstep' of discussing the beginning of Creation, I recommend anchoring yourself on the subject of rebellion of Iblis and beginning of evil, for some time. It is important to udenrstand the roots of evil through actions of Iblis... his assumption of the position to question the decision made by the Supreme... drawing comparisons based on limited knowledge which in general sum up as arrogance. Note also that, interestingly, Iblis is not a rejector of God, for he acknowledges Allah's Supremacy...
