 Jocko, please try to understand. Jesus was created so he is a creature and the creature cannot be god.

Also you wrote in reply to Israfil:

 How come I say "Christ is the life giving Spirit" and its preaching, but you proclaim "God is eternal" and it is not preaching?

  Something's fishy here.

 God is eternal. Every one believes it and it is not a disputed matter which has to be preached. But Christ is the life giving Spirit" is a disputed matter and it has to be preached to be believed. It is not a universal truth. Can you please note this point??

In most of your post you seem to be preaching more than actually discussing.

==========================

     I may sound preachy to you. However, you do not have to sit passively in a pew and listen. You can debate, you can question, you can contradict me, you can preach your own message, you can heckle, make wisecracks, and even turn the discussion into whole different direction.

    So relax. Make your points if you have some.

==========================================

God is eternal, and incorporeal so,

========================

  How come I say "Christ is the life giving Spirit" and its preaching, but you proclaim "God is eternal" and it is not preaching?

  Something's fishy here.

==========================

how are we organically attached to God?

=========================

 I use the word "organic" in a borrowed way. I mean that the regenerated person's union with God is a matter of life.

 Brace yourself - Paul said that we as fallen sinners were "alienated from the life of God" (Eph. 4:18).

 This is more than just being away from God. This is more than just not being on speaking terms with God or not in fellowship with Him.

 Alienated from the life of God means estranged from from touching His very substance. It means apart from God's essence. It is more than just not being in communion with God. Alienated from the life of God is not having the life of God within you.

 This is the astounding revelation of the Bible. God wants to live in man to be man's eternal life and divine life.

 From the very beginning of creation God placed man before "the tree of life". If man had a very good life which had no reason to die, why then was there a need for man to eat of the tree of life?

 I would like you to consult Genesis 2:9 and 3:1-24 and tell me what you think of the tree of life.

 What was it? What was it for?

 Answer me these questions and then we will continue our discussion or preaching with your comments as whichever the case may be.

===========================

You are continually making contradictions here. You guys need to stop preaching and start discussing. I'm really annoyed by these long posts about Biblical poetry. This is a forum to discussion and have dialogue not a sermon.

==========================

  No ushers have escorted you out of your pew for disrupting the sermon. Stop whining.

 This is a sermon you can stop and challenge, debate, change the subject, do pretty much as you please. So stop whining that you're being preached to.

 Preach back if you have the truth.

Israfil,

When you put the emoticon in response to an entire post, that is a huge answer in itself. I enjoyed that.

Hello, I am new to this forum.  I have been reading this topic for awhile.  It is very interesting.  Alittle backgorund on me was that I was raised catholic, and married a muslim, raising my children muslim.  I have a question for Jocko.  As I understand it you are christian.  What 'branch'?  Methodist, baptist?  I think that if I knew that I could better understand where you are coming from.  Because some of what you have said in the past doesn't really make sense. But if I could figure out your doctrine I could at least follow what you are claiming.  I hope that I haven't offend anyone.  Thanks for letting me post.

  Hello Mary,

         By asking what "branch" of a Christian am I, for example Baptist or Methodist, you are asking what "division" or "denomination" I am of.

       I am not of a denomination or a division because where I meet we believe in the oneness of the church. So we receive all believers who are born of God. We do not denominate the church. We feel that to denominate and divide weakens the church.

     We meet on the ground of oneness and regard all who confess Jesus as Lord as members of the city wide local church. We meet in various cities and towns all over the world.

 Now concerning things I said that you did not understand. It would be better if you gave me one example. Give me perhaps your strongest example of some teaching I wrote that you found incomprehensible. I will try to briefly present to you a clearer explanation.

Sounds like a completely another group /or new group to me. Some of your writings do seem off track.

Jocko, then, your particular "sect" would be categorized as non-denominational.

 It could be an entirely new sect jocko which no one has experienced yet. It may be right or wrong, that is not the matter. It may be an improvement on the existing christian sects.
