   The Religion of the Future 

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion.
It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology.

The Spiritual Quest

The quest for meaning begins with an inner awareness that there is more to life than physical existence. Something unformed and uncomprehended stirs deep within each of us, and over it the spirit hovers restlessly until we make a response. The response is one of yearning: a desire to love the infinite love, a desire to reach for truth, wisdom and understanding, and a desire to aspire to the harmony of a wholeness that we but dimly perceive. Once we have embarked on the quest, the search will be lifelong, for there is no end and it will call from us all that which is most noble in the human spirit.

The Great Spirit

In developing a personal relationship with the Great Spirit,
you first pay attention to the fact
that you already have a relationship with Spirit.
Spirit is not something that you need to seek
or grab or go to Tibet to find.
Spirit lives in you;
It lives within your body, in every cell.
You can touch the Great Spirit
by touching your own aliveness.
All you need is a different attitude
about how big you are,
how deep you are,
how high you are.
You must be willing to own
that you are God;
even though you are
a minute part if the All That Is,
you are connected and one with it.
