The father of my daughter ( we are separated) stated Wallah ( swearing on Allah) while making  a statement. He later confessed to me it was a lie.

Because he made such a horrible lie, and swore. Would his repentance be accepted??

I can't believe he would involve our Lord in a lie?!

Do anyone know of any Hadiths that speaks of swearing to God?

I have not have the chance of seeing if he will be a good father because she is only a month old, but I'm now considering  based on him making such a horrible lie if he should be around by daughter.
Am I being too extreme for thinking that way?

Salaam

Assalam alaikum sister
May Allah guide us to the right path
for him to lie and swear he has to repent by doing the following:
feeing 10 people who are poor, a full meal for each one or buying them cloths and if he were not able to do this then he should fast 3 days, Allah Subhanu wa Tala says in Sura 5-Al Ma'idah (the table) verse 89:

Allah does not call you to account for what is vain in your oaths, but He calls you to account for the making of deliberate oaths; so its expiation is the feeding of ten poor men out of the middling (food) you feed your families with, or their clothing, or the freeing of a neck; but whosoever cannot find (means) then fasting for three days; this is the expiation of your oaths when you swear; and guard your oaths. Thus does Allah make clear to you His communications, that you may be Fateful.

As for keeping him away from your daughter because of this i will suggest and Allah knows best, Allah is forgiving, we should be too, your daughter is with you almost all of the time, but you do not own her you can bring her up the right way but do not seperate her from her father, talk to her father, make sure he understands his duty to set a right example for her and to teach her the right thing, may Allah guide us all, ameen.
"Whosoever fears Allah, he will appoint for him a way out, and provide for him from where he does not expect"
