   in surah 2, around line 68- it is talking about the story of the cow-

the people are asking Musa about the cow-  Im a  bit confused on this story. or what is going on here in the quran..why are they people asking Musa this, what is this supposed 2 mean, etc.

can someone discuss further the meaning of this passage/more detail of what is going on

I know they were going to take the cow and worship that, but why is Musa getting in detail about the 'yellow color of the cow' ..etc.
