When I first met my husband I was a christian. The things that I know now as a convert muslim I know that he was doing wrong when we were together before marriage. There was not intercourse untill after marriage. Here goes, one night he was asking me some questions (this while I was still christian). He asked me if I talk to any guys. I told him yes because I have guy friends. He asked me if I ever done anything with any of them and I said no, which was a lie because it was way before I met him. I didn't want to hurt his feelings. So, here is he scarry part. He turned off the lights in the apartment. He started reciting something in arabic. I started getting scared when he asked me if I see them standing there in the room. I asked him what he was talking about because I didn't see anything. Then he described them as either 3 or 4 I don't remember, and he said they were wearing prayer clothes with the turban and reading from the qoran and reciting to him. Then he said that they told him something....He said they told him that I had relations with a male and they told him exactly where it happened like the city and they told him his full name which he repeated to me. He said later after we were married that he could only go on a persons past. WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS HE DOING????

Dear sis
As far as i know, he is using Jinn power. Jinn are one of the creations of Allah swt as we are. They do lie as we lie. I don't know if they were speaking truth when called, but sis, whatever he was doing is wrong and an act of shirk. Such persons never stay with a peaceful mind. Many of us commit mistakes in life. We repent and the Most Merciful Allah swt, does hide our sins from the world. We are n't exposed. Who is he to know if you really have had relations. Does he not not know that Jinns lie ! Even if they were true, it was your past -- anyways-- Edited by seekshidayath - 07 August 2010 at 10:27am |

Thank you so very much for this info. From your words I look back on our marriage and I see that he was only nice guy to me for a little while and then after this incident that I posted here there were a few more after marriage and he would confront me with things from my past. I am in iddah now and I didnt want divorce for such a long time and knowing that he was not so innocent as he claimed to be gives me comfort in knowing the real truth. I am a convert muslim and he only taught me to pray and not too much about islam. I do not have any friends or any family that are muslim. I am so glad they have this forum here. Thank u very much for your response.

Sister,
Agree with Seeks, but also he was just trying to freak you out to make you confess to your past. Not necessary to confess anything to him now, as I doubt he will be pleased. If Allah forgives you then the matter is finished. |

No, rather creatures of Allah, or created by Allah as we are.
Was the information provided by these "visitors" true and accurate? If so, perhaps he simply investigated your past via a paid private investigator. Why would he go through all this trouble and still marry you? Did you stick to your less than candid story of not having any previous involvements?
Jinns are like humans with respect to being good or evil. The good jinns do not make contact with humans, and Muslims are not to seek out help or assistance from them. Is your husband religious? Does he pray five times a day? If he is irreligious and you are sure he didn't investigate your past through normal means, I find this a very troubling situation.

There would not have been a possible investigator in this case, and I never confessed anything, and tat was what scared me. He didn't know me at that time, and that person of my past he was talking about, he told me his exact name and where this happened and I still didnt tell him if I did or not. I stuck to my story. I am confused and I really hope that he was not doing those things after I was muslim, because Allah forgave me of everything, but my husband kept bringing up my past all the time. But still, knowing that Allah forgave me of my past, I did not even admit to the truth he was saying. I am still confused. Also, he told me that I was never able to talk to anyone who was shia. Why is this? The only reason he gave me was that shia believe in temporary marriage. I dont know if this is true that I am not allowed to talk to shia because of this reason. Is there a reason why I can not?

What about a diary he may have found or close associates he could have spoken to? Is he religious - praying five times daily? The matter of speaking to a shia is nonsense, however I certainly would not take religious advise or faith based instruction from most shia.
