As salam alaikum everyone
I have heard that some Muslims believe in the coming of a Mehdi or chosen one that will purify the Earth before Judgment Day and also that some Muslims believe in the Second Coming of Jesus? Is there any basis in either of these beliefs? I haven't found anything suggesting this in my reading of the Qur'an |

the concept of mahdi is there in hadith explicitly and in Quran implicitly.
but only they can see it in Quran who actually know the pulse of Quran. |

The coming of the Imam Mahdi and Jesus is mentioned in Sahih Muslim. As such, the belief in Imam Mahdi and the second coming of Jesus is required of all Muslims. Some have claimed that the stories have no basis, but the majority of scholars, both traditional and contemporary, accept them as true.
