In the name of God, the infinitely good, the merciful It is important to note that the premise of the Qur'an is the belief in the oneness of God, his messenger and his glorious word crystallized in the book called "Al-Qur'an." The Qur'an being the Umm al-kitab is the book in which is universal to all the people on this planet, be it Muslim or non-Muslim. It values reaches to all and its words penetrate the very foundation of the human spirit. What its important to note is that in the Exordium (The Opening) the beginning chapter of the Qur'an states: "In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful All praises are due to Allah the Cherisher and Sustainer of all th worlds!" Of course we all know that in the Islamic faith Allah is the Creator of all forms of life and death in the universe. We all know that the Islamic faith is a monotheistic faith and that its roots are grounded within the Judeo-Christian traditions. We all know that Muhammad is considered a great prophet and is the "Seal of the prophets" from the Biblical prophets to its Islamic prophets. We must understand the pluralism behind the knowledge of Allah in the Qur'an and to those who share this belief we must identify with it. Islamic spirituality is not inclusive as OT Judaism would have it. Islamic faith nor the belief in Allah does not belong to one ground not even to the Muslims, but to all of human kind. It is of exemplary faith that we (Muslims) show that the inclusiveness of Quranic doctrine it would draws people to the positives of Islam. It is with inclusiveness that we can make Dawah to those whose knowledge is limited of Islam. Many Christians and Jews limited in the philosophies of Islam hold the limited aspects and those we must expand through our humble explanations of Islamic doctrine. Allah or Al-illah (The God) is the universes God. When Muslims pray it is not just to pray to a Muslim God but to pray to an intelligence whose being is incomprehensible, but to reunite ourselves with him through our submission. In these moments of prayer and silence we can come into communication with the divine. But thse prerequesites of faith are not only complimentary, but also the pluralistic speech of Islamic spirituality is mandatory. |

In the name of God, ther merciful the compassionate! All praise is due to Allah, his dominion are the heavens and beyond and his creation magnify his glory and may he rest in his infinite blessing the beloved prophet Muhammad ibn' Abd'ullah Ameen While read ing the Qur'an I read over an interesting passsage which is the chapter itself called "Al-Ma'arij which means "The ways of Ascent" according to Yusuf Ali it means "silver stairways that go up." In this passage we can definitely say that Allah is "Dhu Al-Ma'arij" or "the Lord of the ways of ascent." Another thought in mind in this is that though we cannot physically come near to God we can be spiritually aligned through our conscious effort of remembrence via prayer. |

I think that you mean God as he has revealed himself in Islam? Just as he has revealed himself to Christianity and also other faiths? There is only one God, isn't it? I like to make that comment just to avoid the polarising effect on God's being in "God of Islam, of Christianity, etc ". It may also help in our mind setting and make us closer toward each other. Thanks, Tom. |

What do you exactly want explain with your "the God of Islam is a God of humanity?" What direction do you want to go to? Because of many "inhumane" expressions and actions on the part of Moslems? Personally it is really confusing for me, and many other Christians. It would be more meaningful if you could quote some verses underlying your topic. Thanks.- Tom.- |

Greetings Thomas, The following is proof from the Qur'an that Allah is the God of humanity. though I only quote one verse its literal meaning is common sense: First the Arabic version: "Bismi'llah ir-Rahman ir-Raheem Alhamdulilahi Rabbil Alamin!" English: In the name of God the most gracious, the most merciful. All praise is due to Allah Rabbil (Lord) Alamin ( of all that exist!) Since Allah is the Lord of all that exist which also encompasses the universe and humans being the inhabitants of such a reality it is thus proven that Allah is the Lord of all humans. |

Would it be fair to say that though the Quran is considered the last book that there will not be amendments made to it as society reaches maturity. Ie 1400 years ago it may have been acceptable to cut someones hands off or stone someone but in todays society this is not acceptable and therefor education, counseling, consultation with prayer has to be True Justice in that should steps in improving over all education levels of mankind they would resort less to stealing or adultery becuase the education of True Justice would be more manifest in the communities and therefore it is more likely people given better education and training would fall less freguently to this ills of society. Myself I believe Islam, the Process of Islam (Submitting our will to Allah) learning to be good people would be more evident and therefore people would have as I mentioned less reasons to resort to such behavior because they would be educated and trained properly how to deal with the issues they are faced with on a daily basis. One cannot contain Islam in a single book nor even all the books ever wrote for Islam is much more than that and Islam transcends all life regardless of what religion we belong to for it is all expressions of the evolution of Islam. Judgement day passes in the moment we decide something needs attention & we take positive action. Then there will be a great sorting out of people into groups, Inspired by Surah 99 Ayat 1-8

Salaam, Islam is neither contained nor inclusive here in this matter what I was quoting Thomas was clear proof that Allah does not belong to a religion, class or ethnic group. In regards to Islam the Qur'an is the recitation of the truth that was forgotten among the paganistic Arabs. This truth the recital being the last revelation of God among the Abrahamic faiths is a truth which expells the myths and legends that humans have composed throughout the centuries of existence. It is with this truth that it ascends far above other doctrines and sayings because it is our most recent revealtion. In regards to other religions Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhist, Sikhs, Hindus and the like all are creations of the God of the universe. Whatever name you call Allah it is him whom you refer to. God says in the Qur'an that our differences will be quelled on the day of judgement, such infinite wisdom and mercy from our lord is Crystallized in the Qur'an! How dare do we amend that? There should be no amendment to the Qur'an for it is the truth from Allah.... |
