ISLAMABAD -A bomb exploded at a funeral in northwest Pakistan Sunday, killing at least 14 people and injuring more than 30 others, health and police officials said. The explosion took place in Badber, an area in the outskirts of Peshawar, as hundreds of people gathered for the funeral of the wife of a member of an anti-Taliban militia. Rahim Jan, head of Lady Reading hospital, said 14 people had died and five of the injured were in a critical condition. "We have found the lower part of a body, from which it seems suicide attack was involved, said Abdul Kalam a senior police official. Khush Dil Khan, a deputy speaker of the provincial assembly, survived the attack by leaving just minutes before the attacker struck. Khan is from the Awami National Party, a secular and anti-Taliban group whose members have been regularly attacked by Terririst. The terrorists are included with Islamic groups.But they don�t know what is the meaning of Islam. |
