I took shahadah on 8/3/1990 and have been learning about this wonderful Religion and way of life every since.  We are supposed to follow the entire Qur'an yet I have never heard anything about our progress, as Muslims, toward this directive.  Are we also becoming a cafeteria religion where we only pick and choose what we like, or shouldn't we "obey"??  We are told to strive for one Khalifah for all Muslims in order to be successful.

MashaAllah bro Haji94, who told you when you say "We are told to strive for one Khalifah for all Muslims in order to be successful" ? Is is from Quran or Sunnah or some Islamic scholar or what? Its not to oppose but to get real thoughts on it.

Bi ismillahir rahmanir raheem

What is the use of having a khalifah if no one will follow it, there is to much fighting amongst different groups. The solution starts with the indavidual and once a community is established then we will have a klhalifah.

Ahmad in the proper sence of the word the Khalifah is the spiritual leader of the muslims, man is allah's khalifah on earth.
Rasul Allah (sallah llahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Whoever knows himself, knows his Lord" and whoever knows his Lord has been given His gnosis and nearness.

They speak about beliefs and try to force them on others by making them fear other then Allah, but when someone challenges these held beliefs they either flee from confrontation or look for power against the challenger. All power belongs to Allah and ruined be the unjust.

And you will know, that this community can never be esteblished while it's people have "wahn" love of this life and hate for death, to the point of killing people unjustly and not upholding the truth. I see no honor, no respect just words and a fake sense of security because of numbers. Cowardice when the truth is at stake and only excuses and more lengthy preachings.

May Allah curse the scholars who took away our swords from us and left us with their words and their baseless threats. May Allah curse the deceivers and ruin them with their own handwork.

Salam

Please allow me to express my humble opinion on the subject of progress of Muslims.

We often think of progress in terms of scientific or economic progress. But there is also another aspect of progress which is social progress. By social progress we mean when a group of people develop harmony in values and faith and develop social integration and learn to resolve their issues in a peaceful way. In sura 8 ayat 63 there is a mention of such a kind of progress.

"And God united their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but God has united them. Certainly he is all-mighty and all-wise"

So I believe this is the progress which we must strive for and other types of progress (economic and scientific) will follow.

I belong to a Muslim community with similar values. they have a website www.clearvision.com.pk . Please see if you find harmony of faith and values.

Salam to everyone

Regards

SM
