Islam embodies far more than one can imagine.

Islam is timeless yet certain practices may date it.

To understand Islam you have to in part understand yourself.

You are the hope in Islam.

Islam is reborn and renewed within you.

Islam is made up of many paths with essentially the same foundations.

In Islam one is free to choose their path.

The hope of Islam is Peace, Peace within you and the World.

To find Islam take a look in the mirror and then in the faces around you.

In Islam there is perfection and imperfection.

In Islam we strive to be the best we can be and help our brothers and sisters rise to their Station as well.

Faith in Islam is being able to trust in yourself, others and Allah.

Just some thoughts and ponderings on Islam.

Salam

I agree with most of these except for:

"In Islam there is perfection and imperfection."

There is no imperfection in Islam. If there is please point it out?

It is from Allah and there has to be no imperfection but only that our thoughts are imperfect.

Sister indeed!

But this is not the case with Allah, as Allah is perfect and if there is something bad in God then he can't be a God. Had Islam be from some human it would have contained errors etc.

There is difference between others and Allah. However there may be things which may not be digested by some. Like for a drinker Islam may not be perfect as it does not permit drinking so this doesn't mean that Islam is not perfect but the drinker has a problem.

Hopes this addresses the question.

Shams Zaman.

Alaikoam Salam

Allah created good and negative so people would choose the good path.  Unfortunately we need more excellence in Education, Counseling, Consultation, Parenting and Friendships and caring in general to resolve the tests and challenges Allah has set out for us.

Certainly each of us given these tools and it is hoped they would have the understanding and courage to make the right choice and choose kindly actions in all things.

That is not to say we will not be tempted to be cranky one day because of tiredness or blood sugar problems or other issues but hopefully if we are cranky we will with draw and save others from any unneeded negative behavior before it happens.

There is hope.

My dear Anne,

The issue being pointed out to you is that Allah is perfect. And what He has ordained for us is in absolute wisdom, thus we cannot attribute any imperfection to it.

Whatever good we have is from allah, while the negetive is from us. Of course the negetive also reasches us thru His will, but we still cannot call His work imperfect.

Islam is the religion of Allah, thus it is not a mixure, - it is absolute, good and pure.

Some things that are seen as bad in Islam are due to two reasons 1. People do not have a proper understanding of true Islam, while their opinionated perceptions see some negative sides. 2. There are distortions or innovations introduced in the religion, and this is being attributed to Allah - this is a sin.

Please stay on course with your thread, for the convenience of others.

Thank you,

Nausheen

In Life and Islam we are tested like all the Prophets of old were in our daily lives.

In our daily lives there are many revelations whether we are aware of them is another question.

To meet our tests well there are many factors at play, self determination being the top most on the list.

Basically we need to ask ourself what is life all about?

Where do we belong?

What is our purpose for being?

In answering these questions we must know ourselves and admit to ourselves and others our faults.

We must encourage a community and Nation where excellence in education, counseling and consultation are promoted and in a well presented well balance manner.

Essentially each of Us is a Messenger and a gaurdian, one who has the power to nuture, improve, encourage, care for and especially love oneself and the world.

There are many questions and sometimes we feel at loss for an answer but as someone reminded me today to take it to Allah, God, the Creator.

There are times when indeed we feel so alone, like there is no tommorrow or that we are in the middle of no where.

Do not dispair those feelings are breif and you/we can find our footing by reaching to community, to our family, friends and especially by working on making ourselves the best we can be.

When we feel like we are the only people on the planet then it is time to take a dancing class, a pottery class, volunteer somewhere, read a book , take a bath, go swimming, write a book, write letters on important issues to community leaders, lead a boy scouts or girl scouts class.

Even though we want to be alone there is a whole world of spirit around us and within us.

There is hope.

May Allah bless you today with faith, confidence and Iman.

A few more ponderings.
