I'm trying to write the word "Ummati" in Arabic using the square kufic style by following this guide. This is what I have so far:  Below each red dot, I have drawn two vertical lines but I think I only need one. Can anyone help me perfect this word?

"Ummati" literally means "My nation". And when uttered by our prophet Muhammad ﷺ ,it also means "My followers". For example this hadith from Sahih Muslim: عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ رضي الله عنه �£َنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَلاَ قَوْلَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ: ﴿ رَبِّ إِنَّهُنَّ �£َضْلَلْنَ كَثِيراً مِنَ النَّاسِ فَمَنْ تَبِعَنِي فَإِنَّهُ مِنِّي ﴾ [إبراهيم: 36] وَقَالَ عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ: ﴿ إِنْ تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ وَإِنْ تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ �£َنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ ﴾ [المائدة: 118] فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ وَقَالَ: "اللَّهُمَّ �£ُمَّتِي �£ُمَّتِي" وَبَكَى. فَقَالَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: يَا جِبْرِيلُ اذْهَبْ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، وَرَبُّكَ �£عْلَمُ، فَسَلْهُ مَا يُبْكِيكَ؟ فَ�£َتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ فَسَ�£لَهُ. فَ�£خْبَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللّهِ بِمَا قَالَ. وَهُوَ �£عْلَمُ. فَقَالَ الله: يَا جِبْرِيلُ اذْهَبْ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ فَقُلْ: إِنَّا سَنُرْضِيكَ فِي �£ُمَّتِكَ وَلاَ نَسُوءُكَ". رواه مسلم. https://www.alukah.net/sharia/0/113475/ @Rehan: Yes you have drawn one vertical line too many under the dots. |
