Assalamualaikum,
At first I didn't know that it is not permissible to do umrah for another living person unless he/she is critically sick (correct me if I'm wrong). Hence, I stated my intention to do umrah for my mother who is in another country at the miqat before starting my umrah. Now when I reach makkah, I was told that it is not allowed. What should I do? |

Wa alaikum Salam,
Scholars have different opinions on this issue. One says it is not allowed and the other says it is allowed if it is done for someone who is unable to do her or himself.
I tend to agree with the second one.
