Salam alaikum
Need som advice, I converted to Islam not long time ago at the same time we got married by imam with no papers but will do this later. We been chatting for almost 2 years with text and calls. But finally meet. As oldest son he gave huge responsibility and stuff he didn’t share before meeting face to face. Like his father have a 2nd wife with kids... kids he told me where his cousin. When we got to know each other I cared about his sibling , get to know them ask how they are.... But finding out he had brothers he is super close to and One of his real brother is only half but one who his complete brother he never mentioned... story so complicated. But I am left hurting that he didn’t share he had other half or whole siblings cuz he only went by cousin. We had soon good 2 year but not knowing this before we meet it’s affecting me bc I want to know about his family but he left out parts that’s matter... he chose to talk about it when we met bc it’s complicated story I agree but still It hurts. Just need some advice or tips |

Wa alaaikum Salam,
These types of situations should be avoided. You should have insisted on paperwork. A marriage is a contract and without a written document this contract is subject to human memory or manipulation. Now, that is past. But you can insist on getting the paperwork done. YOu should sit down with him and discuss your concerns and then take the next step. Aslam
