As-Salaam alaikum,
Verse or ayat 29 of chapter 39 of the Holy Qur'an reads:-- "Allah puts forward this illustration: can a man who has for his masters several partners at odds with each other be considered equal to a man devoted wholly to one master? All praise belongs to Allah, though most do not know." (39:29) One master, One constant.. The realization that there is only One does not efface the multiplicity of forms and images in our environment, but rather roots them in the One. Like an ephemeral treasure, this One reveals Himself while hiding; remains unheard when spoken to or addressed, but in an eternal act of speech while others endure is silence:- "Say [O My Prophet], if the whole ocean were ink for writing the words of my Lord, it would run dry before those words were exhausted- even if We were to add another ocean to it." (18:109) Thus we must deploy tawheed [Unity; Unification] to perceive WAHDANIYYA (Oneness) in forms and images seen in the Cosmos. |
