As-Salaam alaikum,
Revelation.. Wahy is a direct manifestation of Allah's Speech. The Holy Qur'an is Allah's Speech, says Sheikh Ibn Arabi, within the context of a verse that declares that the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, "does not speak from whim, it is only a revelation revealed "(53 :3) Therefore, when conveying the Qur'an, the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, conveys Allah's words unperturbed by human knowledge. The Qur'an is that ever-renewing, Life-giving mode of being of a Book protected by Allah Ta'ala who revealed it.... The Qur'an is not merely a message relayed by the Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, to his audience, but rather a divine attribute constantly alive. The believer's recitation of the Qur'an maintains the descent of Allah's Speech, so that the descent of the Qur'an into the heart of the believer is the descent of the Real into it. The Qur'an is a divine attribute (Sifa) which never disjoins from the divinity being attributed, so that Allah takes on the form of speech as the believer recites the Qur'an. Hence the pouring forth of Allah's Speech in Qur'anic language creates, within the heart of the servant, an endless array of Divine secrets : 'Thus the Real converses with this servant about His secret in the secret-most part of the servant' s heart...
