Assalamu alaikum,

Such a good point!  It does seem that many Muslims are caught up in rituals and sayings thinking that those alone will please Allah and assure them paradise.  Meanwhile, their behavior doesn't come close to those qualities that do please Allah, as stated in the Qur'an.

Though remembrance of Allah is very important and prayer and ritual can help increase one's imam, it is our actions in this life that do speak the loudest.  It is certainaly something we all need to pay attention to.

I always feel so sad when I see a Muslim all caught up in worrying over the "little things" as far as ritual and sayings are concerned (where do my hands go at this point?, how many times is this repeated?,  should I re-do my wudu in such and such a circumstance?...), when it is the big things they need to be concerned about - their attitude and actions!

Thanks for posting this interesting topic.

Peace, ummziba.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but your words...they break my soul ~

Great Post! It is really important to remind oneself of what Allah (SWAT)likes. That we can become better muslims. May Allah reward you.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said "Be kind, for whenever kindness becomes part of something, it beautifies it.Whenever it is taken from something, it leaves it tarnished." (IMAM BUKHARI)

As Salamu alaikum

Masha Allah - My inspiration was always the 1st 11 Ayat from Surah Al-Muminun (23)

Jazakallahu Khairan

Salams

Verily your Lord is quick in punishment; yet He is indeed Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful (Surah Al-Anam 6:165)
"Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him is our return" (Surah Baqarah 2: 155)
