I have posted an item already, regarding my reluctance to join the islam world. This is mainly down to the extremist morons, who are seen as representitives of all Muslim, a matter that much of the modern world needs to be educated on.

My question here is, a simple one too....I am disabled, i am unable to kneel down to pray, what happens when prayer time is upon me...and what do i do?

Welcome to the forum!

If you are not able to stand and pray, you can sit and pray. If you are unable to sit and pray , you can lie down and pray.

Peace!
Allah is Sufficient as a Walee (Protector) and Allah is Sufficient as a Naseer (Helper).

Salaam alaikum to all,

With a population of 1.7 Billion, name a hundred fanatics (that you believe have hijacked Islam, and then estimate the number of their followers, it is absolute minuscule. These people dont represent Islam, I wont say Islam is a peaceful, it was spread by the sword (let anyone who challenges this come forward), what it did not do was slaughter the inhabitants of an entire citys\villages as did the crusaders, Islams history lies in war and success. The entire text of the Geneva convention on treatment of prisoners and civilians is based on the letter produced the Khalifa Uthman (r.a), so we are not barbarians as made out to be.

What you read and see on the news is 100% propaganda, the motives of which are known by those that conjure them and by Allah the all knower. Whatever these people hope to achieve through their plans, it can only be what Allah (swt) wills, as Allah (swt) is the greatest of all planners.

So my brothers / sister think before you interpret the information you read or listen to, history shows us at the time of war, propaganda is a tool used to sway the minds of the public. This so called war on terrorism is a low intensity conflict spread over a vast region. Don't look at what is happening, look at the cause of each conflict, why is Chechnya still at war (especially after declaring independence)?, why is Palestine at war?, why is their War in Iraq, Somalia and Sudan?, who funds these conflicts, and supports rival groups?, take a step back in time, and piece the jigsaw together the truth will be revealed.

JaJa,

I have a knee that is bad and when I am unable to kneel or sit on my knees for the salat, I use a chair. I even do this in the Mosque. I hang my prayer rug which is a Beautiful piece of workmanship and was a gift from Islamicity when I said Shahada with them on the wall when I cant use it as an inspiration: after praying regularly for several months I am able to use it most of the time as intended. Doing as much as you can with the physical movements with the salat is EXCELLENT exercise, I can stand on one leg and lift the other foot in the air without support now, from doing the preparation "wudu" before prayer. (from washing feet) Insha'allah, your health will improve as mine has from the benifits of praising the one God (swt)

May you have peace

It is human nature to remember something that is out of the ordinary. If you go to work and come back home.. u wont notice anything.. but if you see an accident or somoene getting fired for example at work.. you'll definitely remember it.

Well the media is a tool that feeds on that.. because its soul purpose of existence is to exploit issues so they seem worthy enough to call news.

But anyway, Islam is not what these suicide bombers claim to be.. or how it is perceived in the media.

It shoulnd't affect how you see Islam if you know what it really stands for.  If you think it makes sense and its right for you... you shouldn't care what other people think.

People always fear change...  for example.  If somoene wants to become muslim, their family members will protest the change but soon they'll be ok with it.. once they come to know what it really means and just accept that you've converted to Islam.

Id say... the sooner the better... cause you never know when you will breathe your last breath.

peace be to you,
Hamid

Ma'Salama,
Hamid
