Assalamu alaikum all, By the Grace of Allah I came across this article and I was really drawn to it. The part that really hit home for me was the paragraph I highlighted in red. As one who is slowly losing their cognitive abilities, I find it comforting to know that I should still be able to understand and learn from the Qur'an as long as my heart is pure. It is a curious thing that as my life becomes more and more simple, I find a deeper and deeper understanding of Islam. Nothing brings me more pleasure in my life than sitting out in my garden reading the Qur'an and pondering all the truly indescribably wonderous signs of Allah all around me! Subhanallah! May Allah help guide the Muslimeen back to the simple guidance of His beautiful recitation! Peace, ummziba. |

Assalamu Alaikum! Jazak Allah Khair Sister ummziba for the wonderful post. "Therefore, a powerful intellectual and academic movement - back to the Qur'an - is needed in order to propagate and disseminate the knowledge and wisdom of the Quran, both on a general scale for the benefit of our masses and on the highest level of scholarship in order to convert the educated and intelligent elite of the Muslim society." Very true. Peace |
