   Assalamu Alaikum. A question about the dowry. I am wondering what is an acceptable dowry to ask of a young man who is just starting his career. I know that the majr is an important part oif a marriage. but I do not want to ask something of him that is too great considering his place in life right now. He is becoming frustrated because I am struggling to answer him about the mahr. Any young couples or people who have experience with this-please help me! Your advice will be greatly apprciated.

	You need to understand that Mahr is not only about money. It can be a whole set of conditions. NS
