Zionism vs. the Bible

   A  baptist ministers' article on zionism and so-called  'Christian zionism'- a murderous deviation from the Gospel that some churches in America (and Canada too!)  have fallen into.

   Jesus taught love for enemies, not military support for armies that occupy peoples' land. Christians are called to be peacemakers and to share the Gospel, not to give unconditional support for the Israeli army or any other army. 

   The Bible does NOT teach that Palestine/Israel belongs only to Jewish people (or only to Arab people, both Jews and Arabs should live there in equality, and in my opinion it should neither be a 'Jewish' or 'Islamic' or 'Christian' state), or that the displacement and discrimination and murders carried out by Israeli settlers and soldiers against Palestinian residents are justified.

   Christians are called to work for peace and social justice for all people as we help build God's Kingdom on earth, and in the same time while doing so we must share the Gospel with all we come across and pray that they turn to Jesus.

   Zionism and the Bible are incompatible.
