John Mearsheimer is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago, where he has taught since 1982. He has written extensively on security issues as well as international politics, publishing five books and numerous articles in journals and magazines. In recent years, he has received immense attention for his New York Times Best Seller The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy, which he co-authored with colleague Stephen Walt, and which discusses the impact of the Israeli lobby on the US government.
Former CNI board member Ambassador Edward Peck praised the book, stating, "The expected tsunami of rabid responses condemned the report, vilified its authors, and denied there is such a lobby - validating both the lobby's existence and aggressive, pervasive presence and obliging Harvard to remove its name."
Hosting this week's show will be Dr. E. Faye Williams, Esq. She is a peace and human rights activist, a board member here at CNI, and National Chair for the National Congress of Black Women.
