Does polygamy lead to wifeless men? (49)

A Muslim man may marry up to four wives if he can treat them all equally in terms of provision, attention, and affection, as mentioned in the Quran: "If you fear you might fail to give orphan women their ˹due˺ rights ˹if you were to marry them˺, then marry other women of your choice—two, three, or four. But if you are afraid you will fail to maintain justice, then ˹content yourselves with˺ one or those ˹bondwomen˺ in your possession. This way you are less likely to commit injustice". (Quran 4:3). It is not a strict requirement in Islam, Educating men and women on the responsibilities and obligations in polygamous relationships , including the requirement of equal treatment and fairness. The decision to enter into a polygamous marriage should be made thoughtfully and with full awareness of the responsibilities it entails.
