Beware! Satan is the main enemy of man

Satan is the most dangerous creature for mankind, but humans rarely talk about creatures that are the most important human enemy, even though Satan is very eager to destroy humans.

He holds a grudge against all the descendants of Prophet Adam ‘Alaihissalam where their revenge will never be dimmed until humans follow their will.

Satan will never be separated from a human, but unfortunately many people forget him, so they are not familiar with the characteristics of Satan.

Allah always reminds that Satan is the enemy of all humans until the Day of Judgment. We must always be vigilant against this enemy, because since Satan refused Allah's command, that's where the beginning of the war between truth and falsehood, as explained in the Qur'an (Al A'raf 7: 11-18)

Now there is a question: "why did Allah create Satan? If Satan is not created then man will be safe and peaceful without interference from Satan. And among the answers are as follows:

1.       Verily Allah always creates the best.

الَّذِىٓ �£َحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ ۖ

“Who (Allah) made everything He has created good...” (As Sajdah 32:7)

Including Satan, because at first Satan is a good creation like an Angel.

For a long time Satan and Angel obedient and worshiped to Allah, but when Adam was created, he became arrogant and turned away. And he became a damned creature because of his actions, not because of the origin of his creation.

2.    Allah made this world a test for mankind, there is an order which there is a reward behind it, there is a prohibition which there is a threat of sin behind it. And humans are given the ability to obey Allah's commands and some are not. Therefore, Allah gives freedom to mankind to choose.

وَهَدَيْنٰهُ النَّجْدَيْنِ

“And shown him the two ways (good and evil).”  (Al-Balad 90:10)

In this world, if there are no creatures like Satan, we will not know there is obedience, such as when there is heat, then we will know cold, when there is a violation we will know obedience.

3.    After Satan violates Allah's command, Allah gives him the ability to invite and deceive humans into following them. But Allah has also sent down His Apostles to guide people to the path of truth so that people do not follow the paths of Satan as a real human enemy,......and the choice is in humans.

The Qur'an repeatedly explains that Satan is the enemy of man, he is the real enemy of man, He always tries to destroy the life of the descendants of Adam. Allah repeats it many times so that humans are aware and alert not to follow his invitation.

إِنَّ الشَّيْطٰنَ كَانَ لِلْإِنسٰنِ عَدُوًّا مُّبِينًا

 “Surely, Satan is the main enemy to man.” (Al-Isra’ 17:53)

�£َلَمْ �£َعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ �£َن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا۟ الشَّيْطٰنَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ

 “Did I not command you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Satan. Verily, he is a main enemy to you.”  (Yasin 36:60)

وَمَن يَتَّبِعْ خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيْطٰنِ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَ�£ْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَآءِ وَالْمُنكَرِ ۚ

 “And whosoever follows the footsteps of Satan, the, verily he commands Al-Fasha and Al-Munkar.”

(An-Nur 24: 21)

يٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ لَا يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطٰنُ كَمَآ �£َخْرَجَ �£َبَوَيْكُم مِّنَ الْجَنَّةِ

 “O Children of Adam ! Let not Satan deceive you, as he got your parents [Adam and Hawwa (Eve)] out of Paradise,..” (Al-A’raf 7:27)
