In Islam, consuming alcohol is prohibited, and believers are encouraged to avoid environments where it is served. While it's commendable to maintain politeness, expressing discomfort directly to the hostess can be done respectfully to clarify your position. Continuing the friendship may depend on whether similar situations can be avoided in the future while maintaining mutual respect and understanding of religious boundaries.

Wa alaikum assalam, in such a type of situations, it is important to navigate it with wisdom and respect. When addressing the issue, be kind and considerate, It's important to maintain a respect tone. Your intention should be express your beliefs and concerns without coming across os judgmental. If you valuue your friendship, you can maintain it while setting clear boundaries. Let your friend know that you prefer gatherings where alcohol is not served, and they may understand and accomodate your request in the future. In all situations, prioritize your faith and avoid situations that may lead you to compromise your beliefs.
