And Moses chose his people, seventy men for a meeting appointed to Us, and when the quaking overtook them he said... O my Lord, if Thou wished, Thou would have destroyed them and me before this! wilt Thou destroy us for what the foolish ones among us have done? it is nought but Thy trial, Thou wilt mislead by it whom Thou wilt, and guide whom Thou wilt, Our guardian, Thou! Forgive us and have mercy on us and Thou art the best of those who forgive. And write down for us what is good in this world and in the hereafter(the final), for we are guided to Thee, " He said: " My torment will i touch with whom i wish, and My mercy extendeth to all things. so I shall write it down for those who fear Me, and practise regular charity, and for those who believe (found safty and security in faith) in Our signs;- Chapter The High places Al Araaf verse 155, 156. Koran.
and We inspired to Moses: "Throw (now) thy rod":and behold! it swallows up straight away all the falsehoods which they fake! Thus truth was confirmed, and all that they did was made of no effect. Chapter the High places verses 117, 118 The lesson from this verses for me was do not look, that way you will not be made terrified. |
