   Arabic Language Database Recruitment for Volunteers/Interns

The Database of Arabic Names (DAN) covers over 6.5 million entries, including Arabic personal names and name variants mapped to the original Arabic script, along with a wealth of supplementary information. The lexical database, based on authoritative language resources, is compiled by a team of native Arabic editors, including many spelling variants and other attributes such as web search frequency, name type codes, and standardized forms.

The Arabic Place Names Database now covers the entire world. Despite Arabic being a critically important global language, proprietary noun vocabulary resources are either scarce or have very limited coverage. Our team continues to expand the comprehensive Arabic vocabulary database and has now compiled the Database of Arabic Place Names. Application areas include information technology development, economic activities, social management, scientific research, national defense construction, and public life.

Due to the need to expand the database, we are currently recruiting several volunteers or interns for Arabic language database work. The work is conducted online and does not require working from a fixed office.

Job responsibilities include:
- Providing a list of Arabic names in Excel format (without pronunciation symbols) and Arabic literature with pronunciation symbols.
- Volunteers/Interns are required to:
  1. Identify relevant Arabic names (with pronunciation symbols) from the corresponding Arabic literature and copy and paste them into the Excel data frame corresponding to the Arabic name list.
  2. Provide the English translation of the Arabic name as required.

Depending on the time volunteers/interns can contribute, the workload varies from tens to hundreds of Arabic names.

Rewards for volunteers/interns are based on the quality of work and include the issuance of certificates of appreciation (available in electronic and paper versions, free shipping within nearby locations, electronic versions provided distant locations, printable by the recipient).

Interns can also request internship certificates and positive feedback based on their work quality and personal needs (free shipping within nearby locations, electronic versions provided distant locations, printable by the recipient).

Job requirements:
1. Strong interest in Arabic language.
2. Familiarity with Arabic spelling.
3. Proficiency in Excel preferred.
