"Say: "Come, I will rehearse what Allah has (really) prohibited you from": Join not anything as equal with Him; be good to your parents; kill not your children on a plea of want;- We provide sustenance for you and for them;- come not nigh to shameful deeds. Whether open or secret; take not life, which Allah has made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom." [Quran, 6:151]

"And make not Allah's (name) an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for Allah is One Who heareth and knoweth all things." [Quran, 2:224]

Perspective in Quran

Let us examine the perspective of Quran on this issue, which is based on dignity of mankind, respect of human life, freedom of religious beliefs and importance of voluntary redistribution of wealth.

  •  Respect for mankind is a fundamental value in Quran[vii].
  • Quran emphasizes that the human life is sacred[viii] and nobody has a right to inflict damage on any other person�s life and property, if that person has not harmed anybody.
  • Quran clearly states that there is no compulsion in matters of faith, because the right way is clear from the wrong way and it is up to an individual to decide which way to take.[ix]
  • Quran clearly warns that the duty of a believer is only to convey and not try to convince[x] or use coercion to convert people to their faith[xi].
  • Quran warns believers not to harm those who have not harmed any body and always deal kindly and justly with them[xii].
  • Quran also condemns the amassing of large fortunes without sharing it with the less privileged. In the parable of the �blighted garden�[xiii], God warns monopolist who shut out less successful rivals. God also warns that mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you from common good[xiv].

These fundamental values provide a civilized framework for social relationships. Within this framework individuals can believe in, practice, and promote the religion of choice without fear of repercussions. This promotes the concepts of religious freedom and tolerance. Thus, Quran stops its followers to instigate acts of violence, harassment or discrimination against fellow human beings.

Conclusion

We believe only a change in our values can bring an end to the religious intolerance. The values of Quran and Sunnah, as discussed above, provide us a framework to get rid of this evil and the resulting violence against fellow human beings. Therefore we must

  • commit ourselves to the above values,
  • must engage more actively in the process of analysis,  and
  • intensify our dialogue on all levels including civil society to spread these values to the masses.

Religious Intolerance means denying or refusing to others the right to dissent on religious matters and practice their religion. This often results in retribution and victimization of the weak and the poor.

for a second think form the government prespective, they will never allow death if you kill someone.

I mean if you want to implement shria law 100% do it in muslim land, but unfortunately we dont have a muslim land. we sold it long time ago to christains. (remember ottoman empire & lawrence of arabia).

Muslim outrage huh.  OK ... let's do a little historical review.  Just some lowlights:

  • Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia.  A Christian school.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt.  No Muslim outrage.
  • A Muslim attacks a missionary children's school in India.  Kills six.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia.  Muslims shoot children in the back.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Let's go way back.  Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses.  Over 700 are injured.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons.  No Muslim outrage
  • Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge.  No Muslim outrage.
  • Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed.  Muslims are outraged.

Dead children.  Dead tourists.  Dead teachers.  Dead doctors and nurses.  Death, destruction and mayhem around the world at the hands of Muslims .. no Muslim outrage ... but publish a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb in his turban and all hell breaks loose.

why is this??

IF you didnt watched CNN or FOX then you will know that muslims around the world spoke out against the events that you have posted above.

today you showed that barrier of Idiocy can be crossed, Congratulations sir, once again you have showed that how Ignorant Americans really are, its their own fault. Little bit of research will not kill you.

Even I can pull out a list of crimes and then sort them by religion. you will be amazed when you see so many christains in it.
