BEFORE & AFTER MARRIAGE

Before Marriage:
John - At last, I can hardly wait!
Jane Do you want me to leave?
John NO, don't even think about it.
Jane Do you love me?
John Of course! Always have, always will.
Jane Have you ever cheated on me?
John NO! Why are you even asking?
Jane Will you kiss me?
John Every chance I get.
Jane Will you ever hit me?
John - Hell no! Are you crazy?
Jane Can I trust you?
John Yes.
Jane Darling!

Oh brother, please the food and water go through esophageal way to stomach not air that takes the trachea route to lungs that is covererd by the flap called epiglottis , unless are getting confused with the burping gases from the stomach.
I think who ever narrated this hadith wasn't a good transmitter! Any hadith that is in conflict with facts should be dropped from the list or revised- this is not Quran we talking about!
I will say either trust me or you need to look up the systems in a physiology book or look online and change this signature that you might have to defend the wisdom of it!

Assalamu Alaikum,

First of all, it is humor section; therefore, it is important that issues of religion should not be discussed here. Another thing is that Hadiths authenticity is researched by scholars of hadith based on various parameters and narrators. It is not fitting for an average person to label a Hadith-- false or authentic--on a narrow and flawed thinking or reasoning.

Islamic sources such as Quran and Hadith dont depend on science as science changes with the passage of time whereas Islam as explained to us more than 1400 years ago revealed on the final Prophet ( SAW ) by divine revelations remains the same. Science may or may not comply with Islam, but Islam continues to move on as it is divinely ordained faith.

As it is humor section, please start another thread in a relevant section to discuss pertinent matters. It is not that Islam is against humor ( good humor ), it is that matters should be discussed at relevant places.

May Allah guide us all.

Peace

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

Assalamu alaikum,

Sorry Br. Peacemaker, I just want to clarify one thing. After that you may close this topic.

Br. Sign_Reader, I don't know much about the things that you said, I trust you that you know much-much better than me, however to me as a regular person, this hadith is very simple and easy to understand and easy to implement,  basically don't eat too much. My favorite one is this part:

"Do not eat before you are hungry, and stop eating before you are full"

I use it as signature because like we've heard over and over that overweight in the US (and in other part of the world) is getting bigger-bigger problem everyday. To me, again as "regular person", the most effective way to control this problem (overweight), if we can spread this teaching and apply it into our lives.
