         Two carpenters were building a house when one noticed that his assistant, who was hammering nails into the side of the house, was throwing every other nail over his shoulder onto the ground. 
      The carpenter asked, "Why are you throwing perfectly good nails away?"
      The assistent replied, "They're defective. They're facing the wrong way!"
      The carpenter replied, "Well don't throw them away!  Use them on the other side of the house!"
