Assalamu alaikum.

We call ourselves human beings. Biologically were are called higher primates. We name everything the manner Allah named it some 6 billion years ago. Adam is Adam. Paradise is named paradise.
Allah never called or addressed someone a Christian or a Jew, or a Zoroasterian. Allah called us His servants. He addressed us as Muslims. Islam means submission to the Laws of Allah. A Muslim is one who submits to Allah by following the Law He sent to him through a Messenger in their own mothers tongue. If Prophet Isa (AS) came not to change the Law, Muhammad Rasulullah also came not to change the Law of Prophet Musa. So we all all Muslims.  Muhammad never called some one a Christian. Muhammad Rasulullah called those who called themselves Christians the Call of Allah- the People of the Book or the Helpers. Muhammad called the Aws, the Khazraj and the People of the Book, the Children of Israel Helpers also. Allah loves the Children of Israell and so Muhammad Rasulullah. Let not ignorance illiteracy selfishness and fear divide us. Let us read the Old Testament carefully. It is a part of the Qur 'an. We are not after what is obviously immoral. We must respect and give Allah His dues if we are to live peacefully. Muhammad Rasulullah never allowed comparison betwen himself and the Apostles who came before him. Allah did not change or modified the Shari'a of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) through Muhammad. Allah simplified the Shari'a of Prophet Musa (Moses) and Isa (Jesus) through Muhammad. Choose the one you like and practice it. We shall have peace in the world.
Frienship.

I see you have some good points,  its good to read and increase your knowledge but I have to disagree with you that OT is part of the Quran, its not.
Reading OT is an eye opener, some of its contents are just so gross, that those words could not have come from the Almighty. But for knowledge yes I read it too.
For example I find these verses to be inconsistent with God's revealed word:

-1 Samuel 18:10 The next day an evil spirit from God came forcefully upon Saul. He was prophesying in his house, while David was playing the harp, as he usually did.

-Exodus 32:27 Then he said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.' " 28 The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. 29 Then Moses said, "You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day."

Hebrews 9:22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

In the Quran, God has told us that the previous revelations were forgotten and altered by its followers. 5:12" God did aforetime take a Covenant from the Children of Israel......13 their hearts grew hard. They changed the words from their places and forgot a good part of the messsage that was sent them...........15. O people of the Book (Jews and Christians) there hath come to you our Messanger, revealing to you that you used to hide in the book, and passing over much (that is now unneccessary."

The friends of God will certainly have nothing to fear, nor will they be grieved. Al Quran 10:62

Assalamu alaikum.
Brother Honeto.
I have made myself clear, because I said, we are not after what is obviously immoral, but that which is confirmed by the Qur'an. The exodus 32 you quoted is mentioned in Qur'an Chapter 2:54. That was what they were commanded by their Law. Please read the commentary of Abul Ala Maududi. Don't read the plain Bible! Read its commentary by Reverend Matthew Henry you will see alot of the similarity. You know that Umar bin Khattab marvels at the OT because of its resemblance to the Qur'an.  The Jews of Madina also confirmed that. Remember the slander of Aisha in the Qur'an and what the disbelievers used to stay to the holy Prophet in Makka. I hope you have understood me. I am not saying that the OT and NT are correct. But one should read them to understand the st**idity of mankind. They tell you the negative side and not the positive side.  The Bible is very stern, while we portray Allah forgives on deliberate acts.
