   You know, I'll have to get back to you on that one.  Moroni is the Angel on all the Temples with his horn raised, but Gabriel is the Angel in Revelations, so yes and no.  Gabriel however has either already received his life on Earth or will receive it.  I seem to remember reading somewhere we believe Gabriel to be one and the same with Noah.  But that's the Gospel according to Angie and not Church Doctrine verified.
Angels are not separate beings, they are the souls of those yet born or already born and died.  Moroni for example was the last Prophet of the Nephites.  He buried the plates and then died.  When the time came for the plates to be brought forth, he returned in angelic form to return the plates to Joseph.
