Obviously you have not read the links you gave. I have read them, and the author does not resolve the problems I have demonstrated for Isaiah 7:14. I find it disturbing that you are unable to even give me the courtesy of reading what you paste, and you are unable to make your own comments, even if they used some other sources. Your first link addressed the word for virgin. My argument allows you to use the word "virign".

I await your comments.

Hope this helps.

I have read them and they satisfy me.  Obviously, you need to read them again.  One is 30 pages long and I re-read it last night.

Frankly, Andalus, you turn me off.  You made fun of one of the posters who tried to help you understand one of the prophecies you were concerned about and on top of that you made the mistake of putting quotation marks around divine when speaking of the Holy Bible.

You can believe what ever you have to believe.

Good luck to you.

Annie

14If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 1 Peter 4

When I was studying your faith as a potential convert, I read the major apologetics that attempted to resolve the numerous problems I found in your theology. I know these apologetics well. The reason you are attempting to ignore my points and replace debate and discussion with "links", is that you are not comfortable with the material. This also leads me to conclude that you do not know the material well enough to truthfully make the claim that they satisfy you. I have yet to meet a Christian who was able to succesfully use these think tank links, or more accurately, convoluted thinking links, to pull off even a halfway coherent debate. Do not fret, the reason for this is not because of you, but because of the author. I speak of the link about the virgin prophecy piece which is an incoherent, never ending collage of bits and pieces of information that never actually allow one to rationally reach his conclusion in a plausable fashion. If you truly know his work well, then be affirmed and not affraid to bring it out and discuss it. The worse thing that can happen is that you are enlightened. Your link does not resolve the problem with Isaiah and the contextual challenge that it poses against church doctrine. It is no more a prophecy than the words of spider man.

Your lists of complaints do not touch on the topic of the thread. As I have said before, I do not believe you understand the overly winded piece at the link you sent and if you did, you would have attempted to use it to make your case. I will give you advice to save you time: The piece is not coherent enough to give you serious help, and will only help those who want to believe in its conclusion to begin with. It is a sofball piece and I would be happy to discuss it with you.

Peace
