   I am not here to bash on muslims. I am not here to prove myself right or prove someone else wrong. I have honest questions that I need answers for. I do not have access to a muslim scholar or even a christian scholar.

We encourage you to ask questions and I will try the best as I can to answer you properly.

- According to any religion, including islam, humans do not have morals, that is, morals are not innate so they are to follow religion. To further clarify, we need a religion to distinguish between right and wrong and without it, we will be in the shadows. 
Allah (swt) says:
 We showed him the Way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful (rests on his will). [076:002-003] 
 And shown him the two highways? The holy Quran [090:010] 
In the above verse Allah (swt) said he had shown human beings the 2 ways RIGHT & WRONG! which he can differentiate in between them.
Now we know that every human being understands right and wrong.
If you do not have morals and the sense to pick between right vs wrong, then how can you have the sense to pick the right religion? Hence, by having no morals, you cannot choose the right and moral religion. 
Human beings do have the sense of moral to chose the right religion BUT there is another major Enemy for every single human in order to mislead him-SATAN. he is created for humans. In order to test them whether they follow God Almighty or Satan.
The way of Satan always ends in terrible consequence and leads to Hell but the way of Allah (swt) as mentioned in his book always straight, peaceful, meaningful, submissive, truthful, reasonable and logical which leads to Paradise.
Now how to pick up the True religion!
Since Allah (swt) has given us the ability of realizing and differentiating both Right & Wrong (90:10) then it's our duty to THINK and EXAMINE religions with an open heart. 
To find out a true religion you must think about the following point.
1: The basics of a Religion must be Truthful, Provable, Reasonal & Logical.
2: The Rules must maintain Peace And Security
3: The The Religion must be Natural
4: It must stand the test of Time no matter what
(may be there are other points too...)

- God sent the old testament (according to muslems, let satan corrupt it). God then sent the new testament, hence splitting the naive mankind into two groups (God again let satan corrupt it according to muslems).
God Almighty didn't let Satan corrupt those books but the people themselves corrupted it in the first place.
People invented their own false beleif contrary to the commandments of God Almgihty which results in confusion, blasphemy and  different groups and sects.
Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from God," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. [The Holy Quran 002:079] 
Those earliar books were only revealed for a specific tribe/nation and time and not for all eternity. for example Prophet Moses and Jesus (PBUT) both were sent for the Children of Israel.
Who doth more wrong than such as invent a falsehood against God? The Holy Quran 18:15 
 There are many claims that numerous other religions were originally islam but got corrupted. God sent the quran, hence splitting mankind into three (or more), then promised mankind that God will not let satan corrupt it. End result, groups of people. Is God messing with our heads and enjoying the mankind split up into groups and fighting among each other? 
God Almigty sends new revelation in accordence to the time and people he doesn't send Religions in order to make groups and he also informs them of the coming message in the future but that is the mistake of humans who disbeliefe after knowledge have come to them and make their own false beliefs and rules.
  The Religion before God is Islam (submission to His Will): Nor did the People of the Book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other, after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Signs of God, God is swift in calling to account. [The Holy Quran 003:019]

- God wants us to pray to him day and night, night and day, bow down to him and pretty much suck up to him because he created us. Does God has an ego problem? as a human, i don't want some dude begging me and sucking up to me all the time even if I am a slave owner, then God in all his might and wisdom would want that? 
Prayer to Allah is not what he needs but its what we need and extremly important for us.
Constant remembrance of Allah will help us keep His Divine presence in our conscience which  prevents many sins. 
Allah (swt) says:
  O ye who believe! seek help with patient perseverance and prayer; for God is with those who patiently persevere. [The holy Quran 002:153]
              "Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer)" The Holy Quran 40:60 
We can take help from Allah (swt) through Prayer.
Causes of Prayer
Self improvment of both body and Soul, unity, humbliness, gender equitte and we can receive mercy.
It gives us feeling of peace and closeness to our creator, thanking the Being who created us.  and it has many scientific benefits too.

by puzzle, i mean to say that we are faced with hundreds of religions in this world. The puzzle is to pick the right one. Why punish someone for not solving a puzzle even when the person was genuinely trying to be good and moral? 
As I mentioned earliar God Almighty doesn't bring or make confusion he always solves our problems through his last and final messagewhich can be proved to be True.
I request you to do a little research on Islam-not from those who spread hatred (don't seek refuge to those people whose job is to mislead people and spread hatred) but rather read the Holy Quran with an open heart and read its numerous MIRACLES.

	Why did he not take the responsibility to preserve the scripture from corruption like he did for the quran? I have two reasons for this. 1: There was no need to be preserved because they were only meant for that time and those people (but the original message of those scriptures still exists in them e.g- GOD IS ONE) 2: It was a test for those people not to change it, but they did it anyway and they failed that test. if quran is for everyone then by that logic, it is also for those cultures in the distant past who recieved targetted scriptures? Quran is the last and final message for all human kind and those who lived before Quran they were suppose to follow the basics of that scriptures (hope they did it). atleast in my opinion to be punished for eternity with unbearable pain and distress for not excercising. It's wrong! No body will be in Hell for all eternity in Hell. Anyone who says THERE IS NO god BUT ALLAH AND MUHAMMAD IS HIS MESSENGER will never be in Hell for all eternity but will only be punished for his sins if Allah (swt) wills if not he will forgive him. The only sin that can not be forgiven is shirk (Associating another with Allah (swt) or any other being as a partner with him). God forgiveth not (The sin of) joining other gods with Him; but He forgiveth whom He pleaseth other sins than this: one who joins other gods with God, Hath strayed far, far away (from the right). (The Holy Quran [004:116] Also, as for the stated verse, it implies that God doesn't need us but we need God, then by that logic, when we are born, we are already doomed since God doesn't need us, he will send us straight to hell unless we worship God to the point where we convince him to do otherwise. Not worshiping God means not following his commands such as Killings, Rape, Adultery, Robbery, Wine (drugs..), Kidnappings, Sodomy, Gambling... If you say that you don't want to follow these commands then of course you deserve to be in Hell since you care neither about God nor about his creation. But if your question is regarding Prayer then as I mentioned earliar the prayer is the most important worship in our lives because of the Benefits that I mentioned above. It improves us and prevents us from Hell (sins), brings us near to Allah (swt), humbles us, unite us and we receive mercy through it and many others if you use your intellect you will never leave prayer. If you don't want to pray then you are putting your self in Hell (unless Allah (swt) forgives you as he said 004:116) More like the "original sin" concept in christianity. That also disputes that God has not created me, as he doesn't need me for if he did, he was expecting something or created me with the intent to punish me and inflict infinite pain for eternity. Original Sin is just a lie invented by those people its even contrary to the Bible. Ezekiel 18:20, 33:20 Allah (swt) doesn't punish people for others' sins. If that is the case then he might as well should have not created me. There is a way that Allah (swt) has chosen for us and it is ISLAM. Study it with an open heart. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. (The Holy Quran 5:3)

	There are a few things which need to be understood by the questioner (azseattle) and there should be no doubt about them. As it has been pointed in a post above, we must know the beliefs of the questioner before we can prepare the answers. It is necessary and it will tell the honesty of the effort. Hell is not for ever. Paradise is for ever but hell is not. There will be a time when hell will be empty. So the questioner (or the seeker of guidance) should not repeat the problem of eternity in hell. Islam is not racial. It is balanced and justified. It allows the people of other faiths, if they believe in a God and pray to him and do good deeds (good deeds are explained later), they will have no fear and they will not be sorry. So let there be a christian or a Jew or a Budhist and let him live in peace and let him not fight any one for the sake of religion, nor persecute any one, that person will have no fear and will not be punished. (Verse 2:62) Andalus and seeks had explained all things to the friend very well but it appears that the friend is not satisfied. I may point out that (because it all appears to be against God and His plans), may I say that the friend does not believe in any God? If it is so then there is no need to discuss the religions in the manner that it is being done. One should say that he does not believe there is a God. But if there is a belief in a God but the policy of the Islamic God is not understood then it can be explained easily. The original poster, please tell what is the idea?? Is it generally against all religions or just against islam?? So that we can prepare to answer correctly. About prayers, it is for our own benefit. Man is a devil and takes delight in drinking and gambling and sex non stop. Should that be allowed? A man eats and drinks regularly non stop. Why he cannot try to remember his creator (God) once or twice in a day? God has given man good senses and the will to decide. That will should be utilised for the goodness and should not be left wasted. We are not cows or buffalows or donkeys. We are human kind so superior to other creation. We have a soul. It is called the human soul. It is a thinking, contemplating, feeling, deciding soul. In short, if azseattle has a better program for the humanity then please let us have it.
