Sometimes the hardest of questions can be found in the simplest of
answers. The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit are One. To simplify it more I will use the example used by St. Patrick when he explained it to the Irish upon the beginning steps of converting the whole nation. And this is fact. He used the example of the shamrock. Quite a simple, impressive and easy understanding for a beginner in this topic. St. Patrick took a shamrock with three clovers and one with four. He asked them what makes a true shamrock and they said three clovers four wouldn't for it wouldnt be a true shamrock. This is just an example of a simpler way to explain this issue. I believe the Creator with all his might and goodness can become three in one. When Jesus told his disciples "Those who have seen Me have seen God". Jesus was God's mouthpiece on Earth (a speaker basically for Himself.) God for all his infinite power cannot directly preach to unworthy beings such as ourselves. So he sent Himself in a way we could understand, we could relate and that is through Jesus Christ. A Being who shared pain and joy as any other human yet still divine by His Holy Nature. Through the other prophets beginning with Abraham to Moses, the people did not follow God's covenant (the pact we as humans should have kept our promise to Him). Through Christ (Himself), a new covenant that would last till the final day should be observed. I'm having a hard time understanding why Muslims have a hard time with this. Is there not 99 names for Allah? Why is it wrong to believe God can be three beings into One? |
