The moon is closer to the earth.� Thus it LOOKs bigger.� But the sun is farther away at the poll so it looks smaller.� The sun looks huge in Africa compared to what I see in Utah.�

Nope, that's the north pole.....that's the way it looks there. 

I've seen similar pictures from the north without the Moon, the sun is that tiny up there.
