The Egyptian woman is subjected to systematic gross violations to deter women from participating in the escalating public mobilisation against the military coup.

These violations include the direct killing of protesters and crushing them under cars and armoured vehicles. The number of victims has reached more than 40 women including girls, children and elderly.

In addition, the crime of the arbitrary arrests (500 women). Furthermore, the detained Egyptian women are subjected to ill treatment, verbal and physical assault, sexual harassment by the soldiers during the arrest and after their detention in bad conditions. The female minors are no exception to the assault and arrest.

The inhuman treatment in detention resulted in the paralysis of Amani Hassan, 33 years old, left Jihad Al Khaiat, 19 years old with multiple fractures and the abortion of Thana Al Qady, 17 years old.

This inhuman treatment was symbolised in the picture of Dahab Hamdy Abdul Aaal, 18 years old, her hand was shackled to the recovery room bed after she underwent a caesarean section.

I, the undersigned, urge the United Nations represented by the Secretary General, the High Commission for Human Rights, all those concerned with human rights in the world, to condemn what is happening, take the adequate procedures to stop these violations against women and to monitor the deterioration of human rights situation in Egypt.

I saw a documentary on this on German television. What a disgrace. Liberal forces in Egypt need to change the country.

This is definitely not the way of Islam. Unfortunately, in the end of days, Muslims are amongst the worst offender of woman's rights eventhough Islam does not allow such matters.
