Arabs to unite against http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=CNG.500e2d4ffe759c65d1a2e700cbe85587.361&show_article=1 Agenda topics for the upcoming Arab summit this week: Oh yeah the conference is being hosted by Muammar "chain smoking fashion lunatic" Gadaffi. Is there not a worse representative of Islamism than Gadaffi? Is this the best that the arab/moslem world can come up with? I guess not. Anyway, one of the first rules in the maintenance of totalitarianism is to invent an external enemy to deflect scrutiny and criticism of the real enemy: the internal oppressor(s). Isn't it funny how we see all these islamist "victims" running around with machine guns, complaining of discrimination, whining about being unfairly accused of terrorist bombings, and warning their enemies of the innocent civilians that would be killed in a military reprisal? They justify their murderous acts by claiming to be oppressed by non-Moslems. But if they were truly fighting oppression, they would surely lash out at their own oppressive governments first. On the contrary; they seem to be doing their oppressive government's bidding. When islamist terrorists are given the chance to run their own governments, the first thing they do is lock down their society, remove all human rights, and oppress everyone within their borders with intolerable religious laws and vicious, cruel, and ruthless enforcement. It's no accident that these patterns are seen over and over again; it's a well-thought-out, effective strategy, and it will continue to succeed unless and until their lies are exposed. These are not random acts perpetrated by insane criminals; they are deliberately orchestrated by well-organized, deeply religious, petrol-funded terrorist organizations, many of whom operate under the guise of Islamic "charities" and receive direct aid from Arab governments and oil companies. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=upi20100328-160046-1757&show_article=1 The two-day Arab summit addressed, among other things, challenges facing the Arab world, including the Palestinian cause, a condemnation of Irans military maneuvers, latest developments in Sudan and Iraq, and East Jerusalem. The agenda also included a discussion of Mahmoud Al Mabhouhs assassination in Dubai. I believe, most notably, was a resolution that condemns all forms of terrorism along with a need to distinguish between terrorism and resistance against occupation. I think Arab governments along with the majority of Muslims abhor terrorism and strife caused by political islamist, and seek to cooperate with the West to curtail this plaque, although it is also critically important that political Zionism (also well funded) and the human rights of Palestinians are addressed. |

While you may wish to hope that Arab governments along with the majority of Muslims abhor terrorism and strife caused by political Islamism, the pervasive reality of Islamic terrorism would contradict your hopes. We do occasionally hear the cry that "Muslims denounce killing of innocents" although I believe that is often a false claim. Muslims are, more often than not, the very group identified as those committing the killing of innocents.

"I'd also like to remind the readers that countless Muslims fit the bill as recipients of an isolated incident. As Ibn Warraq makes clear in his book Why I am Not a Muslim, it is Muslims who suffer first, foremost, and most often under Islam."
This is very true, which is why I believe Muslims' denunciation of killing innocents can not reasonably be dismissed as false claim. With respect to "horribly bloody" I would also agree with your statement; "one is too many", but, given any scripture, literature, or history of mankind in general.
